I ordered 2 pizzas and loaded tater tots for pick up. When I got there a girl rang me up and never provided me with a receipt. They were so busy that the first guy who helped me forgot about me and my food, so there was a lot of confusion going on. Plus I had 3 HUNGRY little kids with me. We had just come off of a very long hike and were STARVING! When we got home we noticed the pizza was undercooked.....totally raw! It was not edible and I was not serving this to kids! I was afraid we would have gotten sick. The only thing that was palatable were the tater tots. Now the 3 little ones are having a crying meltdown because they were starving! Cereal and tater tots was for dinner since we couldn't wait another hour longer to eat. I called up Saucy Mama's and spoke to some girl. I told her about the pizzas and she wasn't apologetic or bothered by it. She went on to say "that's how they are, they are hit or miss. Even if you come in the restaurant the pizzas will be hit or miss" I gasped, really??? Why on earth would you admit that! After complaining about the food she begrudgingly offered to make another, and I said no because it would take to long and we were starving and its now been over 1 hour since we ordered our food. She brushed me off with an oh well attitude. I was furious......I demanded a refund. She put me on hold for a while. When she got back on I asked for a manager. She said "are you going to stop yelling?" and put me on hold again. When she came back she said there isn't a manager and for me to stop yelling at her. So no refund! What should have happened was she should have apologized(actually being genuine with concern) and offered me new pizzas, and when I say no then offer me a refund or a credit. I guess she doesn't have kids. You can't go another hour for a refire of pizzas with kids. Also who ever made the pizza should NEVER have boxed it to go. I would have kept coming back to Saucy Mama's if that had happened. Nothing came of it since there isn't a manager and the owners were on vacation. I am now fighting the charge with my credit card company. A lot of people have the same issue with their pizzas now that I am reading the reviews. Its an ongoing thing and she was correct about it being hit or miss. When you walk by or drive by it looks great because it is always busy. They need to cook their pizzas all the way through, and teach their young staff some valuable lessons of customer service. I just felt like they didn't care about me or my raw food. Such a shame!!!!!...
Read moreThe host was so rude even the waiter grabbed the food from us and threw it on the floor as we was eating a mall pizza we have order from this place
When I asked for his name he responded that he didn’t care if we reported him to Yelp with sarcasm.
The guys that took my food away was calling us with profanity language in front of other customer and I front of children hearing offensive language from the restaurant employees
All startated when I order a small to go then after asking if we can seat at the patio and order some other items the crew got all mad asking us to leave after we have already been offered a place to seat’ the waiter comes asked us to leave then we asked him politely that we are ordering other menu items for here and he refuses and got 5 guy calling us slang and offensive words
We asked for a manager and according to the waiters there was no manager working,
So much desrispect, as a customer we came here for the first time and was so exited to tray this place as free driving over 3hrs. Just horrible experience
Hostes like that should be fired for not having people skills
I normally just leave no comment but with poor experience I just felt obligated to inform other about the sad your staff made us fe me and my family left the restaurant
Is so desapointed of this stablishment and for the owner for you to have people working that clearly don’t care about your customers was the most
The only nice part is that The gentlemen that took my order was kind to refund my money after I toll him that the other employee threw...
Read moreSaucy Mama's has great pizza, salads, and apps. I have eaten here before but prior to reviewing restaurants. The context for this review is a busy Friday night and that the night before a city old car show so it seemed extra busy.
Before reviewing the food some things of note. The wait was still only 40 minutes or so which I didn't think was bad for a Friday night. In the dining area the waiters and waitresses were busy helping customers; I didn't see some of the idleness I see at other eating establishments. I did witness one couple complain that they had waited 30 minutes after being seated in the patio area and no one came to help, bring water, or take their order. Also, a couple of employees did make a bitbof a scene that the women's bathroom had quite a dirty mess to be cleaned and were quite vocal and animated during the process of cleaning slightly detracting from our experience - no big deal.
Now, for the food. We ordered the fried ravioli app and a large build your own pizza - double pepperoni and black olives. Again, for a busy Friday night the apps came out within a reasonable amount of time. The fried breading had a slight Italian seasoning that complimented the cheese quite well. The pizza was better than I had remembered. Additionally, Saucy Mama's did not skimp on the double pepperoni like many other pizza places do. The pizza was packed with flavor and has become one of my favorites. I am not local but every time I visit Big Bear I eat at Saucy Mama's.
Sorry, I forgot all about...
