New food truck alert!! Che fai in black mountain is serving up Italian goodness. I got the bolognese papperdelle the last time I was there, but this time Chef Natty hooked me up with an incredible caprese sandwich special. It was perfect, with a delicious aioli that packed the right amount of flavor. The fried zucchini was delightfully crispy and thin, and completely solved the issue of needing something fried. I don’t think I’ll ever order regular fries here if this is an option. Salad greens were bright and refreshing. I left feeling incredibly satisfied! We had the Chicken Parmesan and the Papperdelle bolognese, spinach salad and garlic bread. The food was made to order which I appreciate, so it takes a little time and that time is reflected in the quality. We will be eating here weekly. Might I add they’re open late, until midnight!

So grateful to have found this incredible food truck. As someone from Asheville who’s in Black Mountain often, it’s a relief to finally have a spot that’s open late with really good food. Everything else here seems to shut down by 9, but Che Fai is holding it down for the night owls and food lovers alike.
I had the penne with sausage ragù and it was phenomenal—hearty, flavorful, and exactly what I needed. You can tell it’s made with love and real culinary skill.
