Town Pump Tavern — Restaurant in Black Mountain

Me and my friends went around Saturday, around 11 after deciding to choose a closer bar than an asheville one. I don't know if we upset the bartender somehow but he was pretty rude to my friend; she just asked for a drink recommendation as she isnt super familiar with bars. I don't know if it was too busy or something but he was pretty hostile and just said no pretty rudely. We ended up leaving after the whole "No" situation as it made my friend pretty upset. I would understand if it was super busy, but it really wasn't. Maybe we pissed him off, or it was a bad night. I don't know. All in all, the better part was that the drinks were pretty average price range wise -- me and my other friend got our drinks (a beer and a dirty shirley) for 9 dollars. Pretty decent spot. 100% a dive bar. Pretty small. Decent patio out back. Cash only - come on bar owner, don't make us suffer bc you cheat your taxes!! My only real complaint was that the beers on tap were a little flat and probably at the highest temperature that could still be considered "cool". Is luke cool a thing.
