Potbelly — Restaurant in Bloomingdale

If I could give 100 stars, I would! We have come in here a few different times and everything is always so great! The staff is always super friendly and they all have such a great energy. On 5/8, at around 7:30/8:00, we came in again for dinner and I can't even begin to say how happy I was with the food and the staff here tonight. I got the BLTA and it was PERFECT! I usually end up not eating the very ends of the sandwich, either due to lack of enough ingredients at the ends or I'm tired of chewing by that point (LOL), but tonight, I could NOT stop eating! I ate every last piece of that sandwich and honestly considered going up and getting another one. To the manager, district manager, or anyone else in charge....check who was on staff, the night of 5/8/23 (again, we were in at around 7:30/8:00pm), and seriously pass along my sincerest thanks and gratitude! The young ladies working were awesome, amazingly friendly, produced some absolutely delicious food and were super super helpful! I don't want to air their names online, without their consent, but I really hope you see this and share with them just how awesome I truly think they are! Some may think it's just making a sandwich, but believe me....it can easily get screwed up. Here, it definitely exceeded all my expectations! This location is officially the only Potbelly location that I will go to (I've had bad experiences at other locations, but never a bad one here!) I would have included a picture of my sandwich, but it is GONE!! But believe me....it...

Edit: The website didn't work so I called instead. I was told that they could NOT take any orders because it was too busy and I should call back in 15 minutes. I repeated it back to make sure I didn't hear wrong and was then told to hold so someone else could take the order. While I waited I tried the site again since I already had an order in the cart. It worked thankfully (5th try) because I had been on hold for quite some time. No one ever came back to the phone. I hung up after I got my receipt for the online order. I haven't been back to this place since my last review below. I can say with confidence that I'm over this place. The food is ok, but this location blows. McAllister's and Jersey Mike's are right up the street with more options, better service, and comparable food quality.

2021: I ordered a sandwich and salad for delivery and waited over 2 hours. I called about the delivery and she was very nice about it. Apparently the door dash person "left the food outside" instead of ringing the doorbell to deliver the food. There was no food at my door, or mailbox, or even the side of the house. So im guessing the doordash person just stole it since packages are often left all day at my door and we never have issues with someone else taking our packages or mail. (shrugs) The restaurant itself was great. I was able to get a refund. But be careful or have a back up plan if you're ordering delivery. The drivers...

9/12/2025 - Update I am writing now specifically about the Potbelly store on Army Trail Road in Bloomingdale, IL. I recently ran into a snafu with the Potbelly app where their broken system caused a cascade of issues with an order and payment. I tried to work through Potbelly customer service to get the issues resolved, but after two weeks, they never responded. After reminding corporate that I wanted some answers, I heard from T.J., the Manager of the Bloomingdale, IL store.

I can't say enough about what a fine example T.J. sets for extraordinary customer service! He was completely understanding of the issues I encountered and though NONE OF THEM were his issues, he made everything right.

If you're out looking for an always great sandwich experience, stop in at the Bloomingdale Potbelly location where you can be sure the service will also be top notch.
