Great place for German fare. I had the smoked bratwurst with the cucumber salad and my wife had the pork loin. The brat and salad were really good, and the pork loin was delicious. The pork loin is a really nice generous cut. It was about 2" thick. Cooked to perfection, we asked for a little pink ( I know some people will freak, get over it) and they delivered. They are serious their German beers and are very knowledgeable. My wife had the Ayinger Celebrator, which she loves and was very happy they had it. I had the Radler and it was light, and crisp and refreshing. Perfect for a summer evening on the patio. They are open until 2 a.m ( at least on the weekends) Pro tip, the beer list goes in order from lightest to heaviest beers, with the lightest on top. Our server, Shelby was funny, engaging, and knowledgeable, often anticipating our questions and answering before we even had to ask. The service was prompt and all the staff were hustling to make sure everyone was taken care of. I love pickles, but I wasn't wasn't a fan of the German pickle, probably because it's just not the type I'm used to. Trust me, 1 sad pickle will not keep me from going back, nor should it you. Will definitely go back...
Read moreExcellent beer.....really need to work on their food. Its really small portions....full plate prices.
I mean.....we ordered a wiener, right? Granted, this wiener was only like a buck or two, but they bring it out on this larger white plate, cut in half....jabbed with a toothpick....and two squirts of mustard.
Thought maybe the two squirts were especially for gay pride....but I figured that maybe they would have added another wiener, so the original wiener didn't get lonely.
Love is love....wiener style.
But no, this poor wiener is destined for a life of phone wiener sex, occasional booty calls with smelly crotch kraut.....or right handed, wiener porn, mustard squirts.
Dude!!.....give the wiener some wiener love!!! Add another lonely wiener to the plate.....please.
Love the beer.....food needs more love....
Read moreI came in and was intimidated by the very German menu. I looked around and thought I was in Germany and felt very foreign. However, (!) The staff helped me out understand the menu and gave me a great recommendation on the beer. Soon I was consumed by the setting and really enjoyed stepping out of the day to day and stepping into a European country side pub. The bar tender helped me figure out the right beer for me and it was delicious( I’m more of a IPA fan and it was not here, but I found a tasty bitter beer anyways. I found out it came from the 2nd to oldest brewery in the WORLD). The food was amazing and tasty and complex and felt authentic. The same level of authenticity I feel in the Basque district in Boise I felt here. I highly recommend getting a good happy buzz on some great beer in this...
