Title: Delicious Bagels at Bagel Guild (But Bring Your Drink!)
Review:
I recently enjoyed a visit to Bagel Guild at the Boston Public Market, drawn by its reputation for delicious bagels and unique sandwich options. During my visit, I ordered a sesame bagel with egg and tomato, enhanced with a veggie patty, upon the suggestion of the order taker. Although the combination of the veggie patty with the egg and tomato bagel didn't mesh as well as expected, the veggie patty and the egg and tomato bagel were best enjoyed separately. The bagel was outstanding—fresh, perfectly chewy, and utterly satisfying. The veggie patty, flavorful and perfectly cooked, stood out as a delightful item on its own.
Despite the initial disappointment of not getting the Instagram-advertised sandwich, the order taker's quick thinking and helpful suggestion made for a memorable visit. The food quality spoke for itself, and even though the items didn't pair perfectly together, they were each exceptional in their own right.
Here's a tip: Bagel Guild doesn't offer drinks, so plan to bring your own or pick one up from a nearby vendor.
Overall, the service at Bagel Guild was excellent, and the bagels and the individual sandwich components were superb. Bagel Guild is a fantastic choice for breakfast and any meal throughout the operating hours, serving up delicious food from open to close. I highly recommend a visit, but check their Instagram and website before visiting to ensure you have the most current menu...
Read moreThis place should be shut down. I have found hair cooked into bagels before but the final straw for me was when I found a house centipede cut in half and spread in with the cream cheese.
Update: After corresponding with the owner and reading the response to this review, it's dissappointing that they have chosen to not take any responsibility. I am not after a $5 refund; I was just bringing this to their attention about the cleanliness standards at this location, which I have had repeated issues with but never said anything and chose to give them the benefit of the doubt. If roasted broccoli was part of the recipe, there would be evidence of this throughout the spread, not just one chunk. I have had this bagel more than handful of times and never have I seen any kind of charred vegetables in the cream cheese spread. I believe these pictures speak for themselves and hope that they can inform you whether or not you would like to eat at this place, or one of the other - in my opinion - cleaner establishments at Boston...
Read moreCame here based on the glowing reviews—big mistake. I ordered a jalapeño bagel with egg and cheese and an egg bagel with veggie cream cheese. I explicitly asked for my bagel toasted. When it came out, one bite made it clear: not even close.
I went back and politely asked if it could be toasted. The woman behind the counter told me I should’ve asked earlier. I reminded her that I did. Her response? “It’s lightly toasted.” I asked if it could be toasted more. Her reply? “No, our bagels are fresh—you’d have to ask for extra toasted.” I then said, so there is nothing your are going to do? ,"No." Was her response. So basically, she wasn’t going to do anything to fix it. No apology, no effort. Just attitude. Maybe she’s tired of customers, her job, or both—but I paid $5 for one bagel, $6 for the other, plus a tip, and got served a cold bagel and a colder attitude.
Unacceptable and...
