I recently read an article about Greco on Milk Street and had to give it a try… The location itself is brilliant - walking distance to/from the Boston Commons and financial district - I know this because we walked (more like skipped :-) the blocks after having a wonderful healthy meal. I am giving this restaurant 5 stars because 1) food is extremely fresh (light and tasty) and 2) the restaurant is super clean (huge bonus points)!!! They also practice CV19 protocols😉 My husband and I shared the Mixed Grill (check it out online). You can’t beat the price nor portion size for dinner for 2 at ANY restaurant. Again, the food is super fresh, super healthy(❤️ the olive oil), and filling. Unfortunately, the food was so good, we had to take our custard filled holes (Lou-ka-ma-days) home for a late night snack. I really enjoyed this restaurant and will make it part of our weekly dinner rotation. Definitely, try it for yourself and let me know your thoughts… Ps. Could not help myself- had to purchase a can of their...
Read moreWhile this fast casual iteration of a classic gyro joint has many options, my choices were mediocre. I ordered a Corfu Salad (essentially a Caesar) with lamb gyro and spicy feta sauce. The lamb gyro was plentiful (about 6oz) but it was neither particularly warm nor fresh. The romaine had too many stalks and was not softened by the dressing the way it ought to have been. I attribute this to the yogurt-based dressing, which, while healthier, fails to cut the waxy coating of the leaves the way an oil-based dressing would. Think how kale leaves are before being softened by olive oil - that’s the texture of this romaine.
In any case, it was adequate but way too expensive - $18 after tax and a small tip. I would consider returning and trying other options, but I recommend ordering in person rather than online so that you can see what...
Read moreWe ordered delivery from the seaport location which is not on Google maps so I'm reviewing this one instead.
I would say 4.5 stars overall. My partner got the chicken pita with honey mustard and it was really good. I got the lamb with a garlic sauce and I do not like the lamb. It tasted dry, there was a ton of it which was good but it was spiced weird so I actually didn't like it that much. My partner didn't like it either. Although truthfully we have similar tastes, however he is way less picky than me so if he doesn't like it it might mean that you might not either. But I would not say it was BAD just not my preference. The dryness is probably the biggest issue.
We might try another location but there are pita places that I like better. If I come here again I would probably try...
