Red's Best Fish Market — Restaurant in Boston

One Star because Went to buy a bottle of water sign says dollar fifty. Rings up at register at a dollar fifty. You can see the register display it says a dollar fifty. Employee tries to tell me it's a dollar sixty. When I pushed back employee insisted it was a dollar sixty. Told them to keep it. I emailed the store later in the day relating my experience in my concerns. Mainly that either their inventories and priced correctly or employees are trying to make money off of tourist pocketing the $0.10 every time they overcharged somebody. I have yet to hear back from company even though I received the automated thank you for your email will get back to you message. That was a week and a half ago on August 31st. My suspicion is that they don't want to deal with the issue or don't believe me regardless I'd say spend your money elsewhere in the Boston Public Market which is a great place and lots of great vendors.

Update...heard back from Ryan at red's...he verified it was the meals tax that madevthe price 1.60..says he will check into the register issue. I appreciated the outreach...as my main concern was the register saying one price and being charged another... I will visit again soon and...

What a great place to get fresh or canned seafood. Nice deli menu as well. Being part of the public market makes it so easy to grab something and go or sit around the market to eat. We are fans of some canned seafood after our trips to Spain, so to see and buy some of their specialty cans was a real treat. The staff was super friendly and happy to answer any questions and make recommendations. It was really great to see that the fresh seafood had a specific location and fisherman's name attached to it, really makes you appreciate where our food comes from. I ordered a salmon burger for a quick bite and it was quite good. I was a bit skeptical about the arugula, but the lemon aoili cut the peppery taste out and tasted great with the salmon.
