Vivi Bubble Tea Quincy Market — Restaurant in Boston

Came here with a friend to grab a quick snack while we were out running errands. I’ve been to other Vivi’s locations before and normally have good experiences. I ordered a medium thai tea boba and garlic popcorn chicken. There was a warning on the screen that the chicken could take between 8-20 minutes, so I was prepared for that. The market was decently busy, but Vivi’s wasn’t very crowded at the time, there wasn’t even a line. They were also fully staffed. Not only did it take more than 35 minutes for my chicken, but anytime we asked about it the workers would just look at us blankly and walk to the back. They would return a few seconds later without it and not say anything at all to us or acknowledge us in any way. The third time we asked someone he went to the back and grabbed it in like 2 seconds, which made it seem like it had been ready for a while. If somethings gonna take that long it’s fine, just communicate about it? They didn’t even apologize or try to make it better. We were walking away when we realized the chicken was curry instead of garlic, like I ordered. We didn’t have another 40 minutes to waste so we didn’t even go back to exchange it. Huge waste of time. The food was decently good and boba was great, but the experience was god awful. Horrible experience. Me and my friend went there twice, on different days. First time I ordered passion fruit bubble tea and my friend ordered peach bubble tea. My friend got a MILK BUBBLE TEA. A MILK BUBBLE TEA. Not related to peach bubble tea at all. She hates milk boba. It was a waste of money. Then we went back again and my friend and I both ordered a passion fruit bubble tea and popcorn chicken. Awful. They added lychee to our drinks. Both of them. Neither of us wanted or mentioned it. And the popcorn chicken took FOREVER. We waited over 30 minutes. We each ordered 2 things. Do not go here. Do not recommend. The only good thing was the cute decor. Me and my school went on a field trip. We were spared 45 minutes to get food before we head back to our home town. 30/45 minutes was spent waiting in line for our order. We were there until the very last minute and not only were we late to our bus, we weren’t offered a refund. We waited almost half an hour for NO service. We warned the staff that we were on a time crunch and they were no help whatsoever. 2 other students on this same trip were waiting in line for longer than us and also never received their order.
