Super disappointing. We visited looking for something cute and different than what we normally get. I did a search for "best places to eat in Branson" and this was on the list. It looked cute and I like to try new places, so this was it.
Pros: place was super cute and looks like a 50's styled diner with great oldies playing in the background. Most of our party ordered burgers and enjoyed those. Our server was fine...
Cons: Literally everything else. "Loaded" fries for $12, sure... except they were simply a skimpy handful-ish of fries with a very small amount of shredded cheese and bacon on top. (Bacon was good) We did ask for the onion and tomato on the side. It also came with a side of ranch and a packet of sour cream. All edible, but definitely NOT worth $9+ more than the side of fries our son ordered which had double the fries.
Next, the chicken fried chicken was edible, but was certainly frozen breaded chicken, packet white gravy, and instant potatoes. I was super bummed by that one. I also ordered an upgraded "premium" side salad that was an up-charge of $3.25 to the already $15+ meal. I was happy to pay that until it arrived. Again, a sparse amount of prepackaged iceberg lettuce, that was brown and mushy in some places. I just sent it back. The manager did remove the charge for a premium side.
We were traveling with a baby and the men’s room did not have a changing table. It’s 2023….how is that even still possible?
Lastly, part of their "draw" is live performances and although we were there during listed times we were told they are having a hard time finding performers. That's probably because the place was so slow for a Saturday evening and their performers are only paid by tips. When the food sucks and the place is slow, tips suffer.
Overall, I would not come here again. We planned on shakes for desert but after the disappointments we had already encountered we opted to not. It is safe to say that this place is super cute to drive by, but just keep driving. There are much better places to eat in Branson, especially for the cost. Seriously, it was better to just eat in...
Read moreThis is one of our favorite places to eat but they left a sour taste in my mouth. I am giving them one star for treating a customer poorly. I literally walked in and I leaned over to read the menu and found streaks of grease all over my freshly cleaned white shirt. I literally pulled it out of the dryer so I could wear it tonight. The sides of the table have ridges and I am suspecting the grease gets caught in the creases. The manager was lame. “I can’t do anything for you”. Hmm. Maybe offer me a free dessert or drink? That may be in order. Your dirty filthy tables dirtied my shirt. So after telling him, he makes the waitress clean the tables. Heck no! You Mr. Manager, should do it since you did not care about your tables full of grease making your customers dirty.
At first I thought there was a little bit of sticky on the table and it was all on the trim of the tables. I had to wash the grease off of my hands and it was like that grease you find when it’s gooey (dried and on there for a long time).
To the Owner, your tables need to be scrubbed with a brush, a good degreaser and hot water. I had a good experience with Hannah, she tried to make it better but the Manager really failed me. Everyone likes their customers until they complain. This establishment turned their back on me. I hope no one has a problem worse than mine bc who knows how they will react. I am in the food industry too. I would have at least offered a free food/drink item. Customer service has gone down. No one seems to realize a small gesture goes a long way; A LONG WAY.
Like I said Hannah was very nice to us that is why we stayed. This was not Hannah’s fault, it’s management’s fault for not being aware of grease on the tables.
Because of the grease it turned me off and refused to eat...
Read moreThis was our first stop (overall) on our recent visit to Branson, and to be honest, it was not a very good welcome to the city. I'm hoping that our visit was just an exception, because I'm honestly confused why the restaurant doesn't have a lower rating. The food was mediocre at best, and it's saying something when the only item of note was the french fries. The rest was fine, but nothing stood out. (I will admit that I didn't have a steak burger and opted for the patty melt instead, so maybe I should have gone for the top thing on the menu.)
But the main thing that made this visit memorable (and not in a good way) was the live entertainment when we arrived. Being Branson, I wasn't surprised to see someone singing on stage when we arrived, but I assumed that maybe it was karaoke. I say that because the person performing was far from the quality I expected in a city known for live music. Finding out that this person was a regular performer was surprising, and the begging for tips didn't go over well - especially since we were eagerly anticipating the end of the performance.
Beyond that, the classic diner atmosphere was decent, but I'm still confused as to why the current rating isn't lower. Maybe we just showed up at the...
