We are currently on vacation visiting from Cleveland, Ohio and this is our first day in here in Branson, MO. We were desperately looking for a place to eat at because we just got done bunkering down at our hotel nearby, this place was one that was just recommended to us by Google! At first we were a little hesitant because the reviews were very hit or miss, with some people saying the food and service was horrible while others was saying it was the best. Even though we seen these we decided that you can’t judge a book by its cover and we gave it a shot, immediately from walking in the establishment felt very homey and we were almost instantly greeted and seated! The host was very polite and hasteful while welcoming us in and seating us, shortly after around 2 minutes our wonderful server Nancy greeted us aswell! She had asked if we would like any drinks and we put our order in, in less than 5 minutes all of our drinks were here! At first we were debating if we wanted the buffet because it was $24.99, we were hesitant and Nancy had said we were more than welcome to take a look at it to finalize our decision. Upon looking at the buffet it is mostly seafood, which minds you smells and looks fantastic with workers always bringing out more to replenish everything. We weren’t interested in the seafood so ultimately just sat back down, around 2ish minutes later Nancy had returned and asked if we were ready to order! We put our orders in and she was also nice enough to answer the questions we had about the items on the menu, her answers were perfect and gave us exactly what we were looking for! After our order was in, within 2-4 minutes our side salads were here and another 10 or so minutes later the main courses had arrived. We had gotten the pot roast, two orders of chicken tenders, and the burger! We are very happy to say that the fries are amazing, like seriously some of the best fries we have ever had from a restaurant! The roast was amazing, perfectly covered in the sauce and served beautifully on its plate. The burger was cooked perfectly and very juicy, was also very filling! Lastly the chicken was perfect as well, an awesome golden brown with a crunch that’ll bring you back for more! Not to mention that during our time eating the food our amazing waitress Nancy had kept on checking on us making sure that we had everything we needed! For those wondering it wasn’t an annoying amount of times, or not enough times it was just the right amount. Also while we were eating we noticed that Nancy had given a couple kids a dollar so that they could play a game in their little arcade, which just put the biggest smile on those kids faces! After we were all done eating she was just right on time with taking our empty dishes and asking about boxes for unfinished food as well as the bill!

TLDR (to long didn’t read): Nancy is an amazing server, who truly cares about the guests visiting the establishment! She will answer any questions you have as well as ensure that you have everything you need periodically throughout your meal! The food (ordered) is amazing and cooked perfectly, and served beautifully! We didn’t get the buffet so can’t speak on it, but for those interested it is mostly seafood and served very hot and very fresh!

We loved our visit and will definitely come back if we decide to return to Branson for our future trips! For those who might ever read this review ignore the bad ones because they were not at all what we experienced during our time here! Again Thankyou so much Nancy and Starvin Marvin’s for...

Walking into Starvin’ Marvin’s in Branson, MO, I knew I was in for something special. The name alone told me I wouldn’t be leaving hungry—but I had no idea I was about to embark on an all-you-can-eat adventure that would change me forever.

First off, let’s talk about the $25 buffet. You don’t come here to sample food. You come here to go to war with your appetite. They’ve got everything: seafood, fried shrimp, Cajun classics, and country-style dishes. My plate was a mountain of food, and yet somehow, my stomach kept telling me “we can do more.”

But the real MVP? The frog legs. Now, before you say, “Ew, frog legs?” let me stop you right there. These babies were deep-fried to golden perfection—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. I felt like some kind of Cajun king, feasting like I had just conquered a bayou. If you’ve never had frog legs before, Starvin Marvin’s is the place to change your life.

And just when I thought I had maxed out my eating capacity, I saw cherry pie. Listen, I was full—like, questioning-my-life-choices full—but skipping this pie would have been a crime. This thing was the perfect mix of sweet, tart, and buttery crusty goodness. I swear, it whispered “you got room for one more bite” and I believed it.

The atmosphere? Classic, cozy, and the kind of place where everyone looks like they just finished telling a great fishing story. The service was fantastic, and despite the fact that I left questioning how I could ever eat again, I would 100% come back and do it all over.

So if you ever find yourself in Branson, skip the fancy spots and head straight to Starvin’ Marvin’s. Come hungry. Come fearless. Come ready to eat like you’ve never eaten before. And for the love of all things delicious, don’t skip the frog legs or the cherry pie. 10/10 – Would sacrifice my...

Very impressed with the food and service 04/19/25! We are from KY and first time in Branson, as well as at Starvin Marvin's. We had a very bad experience earlier today with a company that claims they are not a "time share". The company promised us a restaurant voucher that included this restaurant, and when we arrived at SM's... waitress self-referred to as "Crazy Stacy" politely explained that the paper voucher I had was not acceptable. I immediately called the "non-travel agency's" phone number on speaker phone (while standing in the middle of the restaurant). Another SM employee walked up behind me and asked what the problem was. I explained, as the agent was still on the phone. The woman on the phone (Ann) said she'd fix the voucher, but I had to come pick it up. Starving and standing there frustrated (as it was already 2:30pm and none of us had eaten anything for the day yet), the other employee quickly volunteered to run over to their office and pick up the corrected voucher for us! Ann said that was fine, and the SM employee (Duaine) said he'd be happy to go pick it up while allowing us to go ahead and eat, without messing up our meal. I was supper surprised, and greatful for his offer. My family and I proceeded to sit, and ordered our drinks. About 20 minutes later, Duaine returned with a smile on his face and handed me the fixed voucher. At the end of our meal, our waitress told us that the super nice man that went above and beyond for us was actually the restaurant owner! Once again, I was blown away at the kindness and service provided by everyone working there. Not to mention, food was great. I recommend the Bkackened Fish Tacos. Thank you to everyone there! If and when we return to Branson, we'll definitely be back, and ask for...

This is a Very kind and lovely place to dine for any weary traveler. The food and service is bar none one of the best I have experienced in Branson. The staff could see that sometimes we just need a place to rest and feel safe as locals - traveling through- the people visiting are gentle and kind and understanding the people at Starvin Marvin’s not only provide a fresh food buffet with all the “fixings” if ya like that style- They have fresh fish (I rarely eat fish and the burbon tasting white fish or tslipoa had me convinces I might need more of this : bacon dipped green beans and real apple cobbler ( or cherry) just like momma used to make ( or my daddy did too) - with a full salad bar at lunch and ice cream for the deserts - I am telling you their kindness towards me after a very long week will not be forgotten- the owners “pay it forward” atmosphere could entice anyone to take advantage but I noticed his personality was personable with everyone he interacted with- very professional and engaging giving each buffet customer of feel like they are at home- the price is $12.99-$15.99 well worth the price for all the offerings this company provides - might want to pick up an application too while your there if looking - am very amazed at what I thought was just a bar like environment transforms into a family gathering place in the lunch time- thank you to the staff - I appreciate you !
