We've been to this place several times, even celebrated a birthday there. a couple Friday's ago My husband and I worked all day, had a beer with dinner at 6pm then got to the paddlewheel about 9pm - We were asked for our ID, we obliged, then the young kid (Looked like he may be about 18?) did a double take at my husbands ID, looked at him and asked if he had been drinking- (My husband still dressed in his work boots, company hat & neon colored company shirt) We then asked "Why?" we were told if we had been drinking we could not come in because Paddle Wheel didn't want to deal with already drunk people.... I said "so, if we had a beer with dinner, at home, 3 hrs ago, we cannot come in to this establishment?" He said "yes", I asked if this was a Branson thing? a Landing thing? to which he instantly said "I can get my manager" I said "I don't need your manager, I just want to know who's rule this is" he then stated it is the Bars choice. I live here, and this is one place I will never set foot at again. Terrible business, everyone we've spoke to since (Other bar owners even) have expressed the ridiculousness of this- heaven forbid hard working, tax paying people, have a beer at home and because of that, are not allowed into this establishment to play pool and watch the end of a...
Read moreMy family and I travel fulltime and when we arrived in Branson, I began looking for Open Mic nights as I do just about everywhere that we travel. I learned about The Paddlewheel and decided to go and give it a shot. My first night a few weeks ago I was welcomed with open arms. Super chill environment with just a group of passionate musicians vulnerable enough to share their gift publicly on a stage. Todd joined me on his bass the first night and it was absolutely amazing. Afterwards I had a great conversation with him and and also met Troy briefly. My second time there I was cordially greeted by first name by both Todd and Troy which I thought was amazing! I also met some other wonderful people/musicians who I have stayed in contact with. Needless to say the paid;ewheel is an amazing place speaking particularly about the open mic venue hosted by "TnT"! they are dynamite duo and I am honored to have been afforded the opportunity to share the stage at the Paddlewheel with them as well as the other talented musicians that attend the open mic nights. So looking forward to getting a few more time to play while we are still in Branson! Kudos to you paddlewheel for serving...
Read moreI am a local to Branson and we love going to the Paddlewheel. However the past 3 times we’ve been there with a group of friends for an event, the staff has been completely rude and awful to their customers. It’s to the point where we no longer want to spend our time or money there. You experience this horrible attitude at the front area just trying to get in. We even had reservations! It seems to me they plan these fun events but don’t have the staff or kitchen capacity to handle all the people who show up. One visit, they closed the kitchen to us and said we couldn’t order for an hour. We didn’t even get our food til 9pm at night. Some people had kids and they were kicking their children out of the bar before even receiving their food. Servers yelling at customers. It’s honestly beyond ridiculous how they treat their paying customers AND locals. The food is always awesome and their events are fun BUT the staff makes you not want to be there. We most likely won’t be back. Lots of customer service improvement is needed. AND this is...
