La Jefa is the best dining experience in Brenham, hands down ♡!! The food is incredible everytime and they keep it interesting with great specials that include new menu items. The ingredients are high quality and the food is incredibly delicious. The staff is super in their service, always kind, patient, and focused on excellence. The location has an immaculate vibe, remaining secluded and intimate in the heart of downtown while also providing fresh open air, beautiful plants, great music, mood lighting, and seriously effective space heaters. Having an outdoor bar in the same location is a huge perk, too! Lotería nights at La Jefa are the best! It's always a fun time with sweet and happy people. LaJefa Homestyle Birria is hands down the best spot for birria street tacos! Every time we visit, the food is absolutely amazing and full of flavor. I always go for the Birria Street Tacos, sometimes with cheese and sometimes without, and they are delicious every time. My wife loves the deluxe tacos, and they never disappoint!

The employees are so kind and welcoming, making the experience even better. While the food does take a little time to come out, it’s because each taco is homemade with care, and trust me—it’s worth the wait! The provided courtyard seating is a nice touch, creating a laid-back and enjoyable atmosphere to savor every bite.

Spent a few months in Brenham over the last year and this was my favorite place to grab food. The birria tacos were awesome! I also tried the ramen, the quesadilla, and the tostadas and loved them all. I would often get 1 meal to eat there and a 2nd to eat the next day for lunch. There is also a little bar in the same area to get some cocktails at and there was often a bingo type event going on to support other local businesses. The workers are also very nice. Being that I am from out of the area and they wouldn't see me for weeks at a time, they remembered me each time I came back and were very friendly. Looking forward to my next trip into town to...
