Food: 4 stars Service: 0 star
The interior seemed modernized.
When the server came with coasters, it was the most awkward experience. He placed them on our table and said, "Here are...... your coasters." This made me feel like he wasn't confident of the services he was about to provide.
When we were ordering our food, we asked if Gorgonzola Pizza was good. Our server said, "It's VERY sweet." Imagining pizza "VERY sweet" made me lose my appetite. When we asked what was good for salad, the server didn't know how to pronounce the name and had to look at our menu.
La Jota was recommend, but it tasted like the bottled had been open for several days.. When we started eating, most people had left and more servers were walking around -- singing, talking, giggling, flipping bread baskets, etc. This made us very uneasy, making it very uncomfortable. When we didn't even finish half our salad, the server kept on asking if he could take our plate away. If you can't see the most obvious things, you shouldn't be out serving.
The kitchen was open to public so everything that was going on inside was visible. The chefs/cooks were just laughing and chatting. The servers were placing the bread in baskets with bare hands! With the same hands, they were handling people's checks.
It is important to enjoy the job with the coworkers, but do it during your break or where it's not visible to customers. Needless to say, no training was done for any workers around here. The price of the food was reasonable, considering the quality of the food. However, this does not justify for such poor service. We expect at least 4 or even 5 stars at this price point. It would have been a full 5 star restaurant that had so much potential if service was more...
Read moreAfter being asked to wait 20-30 minutes to eat, we were messaged our seats were ready. I've been wanting to try this place since I saw it on yelp. We were sat, offered water, & told our server would be right with us. We waited - & waited some more. After 10 minutes of waiting with no service, it was getting a bit annoying. When the server began serving the people who were seated AFTER us, it became a little more than annoying. 15 minutes with no service & we left. It was painfully obvious we needed service, my guest & I were looking each server in the face as they walked by - unfortunately too quickly to flag down. At this point, paying $20 to be ignored became a bit insulting so we left. I had hoped the hostess who had seated us would ask why we were leaving, instead she wished us a good night - to guests they had JUST SAT several minutes ago... Everyone eating happily were dressed nicely, but we were dressed normally because we had just come back from Chinese New Year in LA. We drove all the way down to eat there. Guess we didn't have the right "look" to us so we got snubbed, pretty messed up... *Note: we were seated right in front of the door to the patio area & the interior entrance - NOT some corner out of sight. You'd have to try pretty hard to miss a man & woman sitting there with water, empty plates, & menus pushed to the edge...

The menu is a masterpiece of Italian cuisine, featuring a wide array of dishes crafted with care, expertise in a simple way. Among the many delicious options, my personal favorite is their Mushroom Pizza. Each bite is a perfect harmony of fresh mushrooms, savory cheese, and a crisp, flavorful crust that’s just the right balance of chewy and crispy.
The attention to detail in every dish is evident, reflecting a true passion for quality ingredients and authentic flavors. Whether you’re a pizza enthusiast like me or exploring their pasta or seafood offerings, each dish is prepared with skill and served with a smile.
The atmosphere is perfect for many occasions specially for a birthday celebration, a family celebration, or a casual meal with friends.
