I went to House of Charm for the first time with my partner and we were excited to go to a dive bar known as an LGBTQAI+ inclusive space. As we entered, the live music was great and the aesthetic was on point. Unfortunately, the bar was a different experience.
The bartender who served me was extremely rude. They failed to acknowledge my existence, as I stood at the bar with my credit card in hand, as they past directly in front of me four different times to greet and chat with other customers. They then acknowledged me and said “I’ll be right with you,” to only check a cell phone next to the cash register. It took me 5 minutes to get two drinks at a bar with less than a half dozen clients.
They made my drinks, which were average, and my partner and I continued to enjoy the music and aesthetic.
When ordering our second round of drinks, the rudeness continued. After being ignored various times, the bartender came up to me, greeted me, and then said “one moment” and preceded to look at a text message from another customer we arrived after me. These drinks, like the first time, took me five minutes to receive and with the same amount of customers at the bar.
The music and atmosphere are nice, but be careful about who may be...

I was hesitant to come after reading some reviews. This place was lit on a Thursday night! I loved the decor. I think they have a comprehensive menu of beer, wine, and cocktails. I am typically a beer and wine girl, but I enjoyed the espresso martini. There were more than ten specialty cocktails listed on the menu. Some reviews mentioned it's for an older crowd, but as a 27 year old, I think anyone 25+ would enjoy this place.
I was here when it was Angelica Tea Room, and I honestly like House of Charm better. I really enjoy sipping a beer or cocktail while listening to great music in a cool,...
Read moreMy friends and I were there over 4 hours spending money on drinks. We looked at the food menu and it was horrible. We went out for a slice, came back in, then continued to order drinks. The busser and bartender had a meltdown because we brought in 2 pizza slices. They offer cheese and a bag of chips as the food on a menu. I understand that bringing different food into an establishment is not “ideal.” But we have spent over 150$ there in drinks for 4 hours. Getting yelled at over a pizza slice was very dumb. We have been paying customers there for a while. They just lost great customers over a...
