Worst experience I have ever had at an ice cream shop!! tried out twice, first time I went, the Mgr./owner was rude and very unpleasant with the comments he made and the belittling of other businesses that offered similar services such as door dash, fresh fruit, etc. 2nd time, me and some of my co-workers decided to visit because the location is close to our work and the same person had a open at 2 sign on the door. we decided to wait until 2, no one came to the door. Then, at 2:08pm, we decided to knock on the door and an older lady came to the door and stated that she wasn't allowed to open the door and that the Mgr. would get upset if she called him. The treatment from both these individuals was odd, but not unfamiliar. Call me what you want, but the only thing I can attribute these actions to is my race, being that me and my co-workers were black in majority. This is the 2nd time I've went here and each visit was not so great. Today was a hot sunny day and I was in the mood for a sweet treat. So I arrived at 1:50 and there was a sign posted opening at 2pm. While I was waiting in the hot sun at the picnic table I saw an elderly lady walking around inside and 2:02 so I knocked on the door and she said the owner stepped away and she couldn't let me in. The acted like I was about to rob her or something she began making excuses why she couldn't let me in. She claimed that she didn't know how to operate the credit card machine and I told her that I had cash. She said the soft serve machine was down I said that I wanted hand packed. I asked her to call him because there was a line forming she said that he would get upset. I felt that I was being racially profiled because she refused to let me in and refused to serve me. I use to rave about this place. I loved coming here and I have been going here for years! The place is family run (or use to be, unsure) and the owner was extremely welcoming. This place has continued to go down hill. This has not been a one time occurrence, but rather 5-6 times. I continued to try to give this place the benefit of the doubt because I loved coming here. I am unsure how you can call yourself an ice cream place when you do not have any type of ice cream left, not even the basic flavors of vanilla and chocolate in soft serve or regular ice cream. On top of that, to continue to promote the dashers that you cannot make. It’s extremely discouraging to not be able to provide your customers anything besides flavors that clearly no one gets as they sit there full and everything else is empty.
