McDonald's — Restaurant in Cape Girardeau

It was late and close to closing time I believe, I was coming out of wal-mart and really didn't feel like going home and cooking. There sat Micky D's and as the thought crossed my mind I felt relief, hell yeah I could just go to McDonald's. Here's where things began to sour as I had but little thought in to it. I ordered 4 double cheese burgers not thinking how high cheese was these days. 22$ and some cents, I was blown away, I guess I was remembering a time when McDoubles were a buck s I quickly done the math about 6$ a burger, like I said I had forgotten cheese was so high. The cost alone reminded me quickly why I don't eat out that often. I was tied and the was another to feed at my place, so instead of just driving off I got the burgers. Yes I was starved and I couldn't wait and your into one, I enjoyed it greatly, it was hot and went down so easy. I got home and my roomy was asleep so I got my other burger out and it was just as good as the first. The services was quick, polite and respectable. The food was very good AND IF NOT FOR THE COST I WOULD GLADLY GO BACK. The cost kept bothering me so I went back there next day and went in, sure enough I was charged the wrong price, I spoke to the manager and at first he was trying to say the price was right. I skipped it down for him and that's all it took, he apologized for the inconvenience refunded my money that I was over charged and have me two coupons for later. I recently visited the McDonald’s located next to Walmart Super Center, and it was a pleasant experience. It was a rainy night, and I decided to go through the drive-thru just to get a box of fries, lol. Yes, only fries! Something about a rainy night paired with McDonald’s fries that night.

From the moment I drove up, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Despite the weather, they maintained a cheerful attitude, which really made this fast experience enjoyable. The drive-thru line moved quickly, and I didn’t have to wait long to place my order or receive it, but my fries took some minutes so I had time to look what they're doing 😄.

The fries, were fresh, hot, and perfectly salted—that was a classic quality you can count on😉. What stood out the most during this visit was how lighthearted and fun the experience felt. Sometimes it’s the little things that make my day, and this was one of them.

tldr; Expect "meh" quality food that gets to you quickly, a "meh" rewards program, and sometimes "meh" workers handing you your food.

I go here only because it's usually quick and convenient; I always order curbside through the app. The quality of the food is ok, but I feel like the food gets cold quickly.

I also dislike how stingy the rewards program is in the app. You can only use 1 deal or 1 reward using your points. So, you build up all these points that you'll never really end up using, because they don't let you.

I've had times where by the time I got home, about 5 minutes away, my fries were already cold and soggy, and have also had hard buns with an old tasting burger.

I've also had times where my sundaes were handed to me with the ice cream and topping clearly melting and covering the whole cup, which I didn't have time to wipe down before being rushed with other items being shoved at me.

And, had times where I was given a torn bag, a broken cup carrier that caused my drinks to fall inside my vehicle, or cup carriers buckling under the weight of 4...
