Haagen-Dazs — Restaurant in Carlsbad

My experience here was embarrassing and disappointing due to the store #966 managers unprofessional actions towards myself and another employee at this location on 11/25/23 at 5:08 pm. I entered the store to redeem my mini cone reward and the employee, who seemed to be new, accidentally gave me the wrong cone. Once I arrived at the register, the Hispanic woman (she was speaking Spanish to the employee) told him that she needed to charge me for the mistake, but somebody had to pay. I asked her why I had to pay if it was not my mistake, and she said it was! I was confused at that point and the employee was shaking nervously and handed her $2.00 out of his own pocket to pay for the cone, which she accepted. I could not let this poor gentleman pay for something that he clearly did without knowing and I gave him the $1.50 to cover the cost. I cannot believe the manager would take money from the employee (federal labor law violation) instead of apologizing to me. I even offered to give the cone back. Overall I love their ice cream and the employee was more than nice, but the lady in charge should really get looked into before it costs the company more than the price of a cone to defend a labor law case...

Worst Ever Hagen-Dazs franchisee

I ordered three ice cream scoops, and I was shocked by the poor value for money. Each scoop was outrageously expensive, yet the portions were so small that they barely filled a third of the cone. My children were visibly upset and confused as to why a single scoop here was just a fraction of the size we’ve received at other places. For such a high price, this level of stinginess is simply unacceptable. I strongly urge management to reconsider their portion sizes to match the price...

I came in around 3-4ish on saturday may 19th and there were three women behind the bar! They were the nicest people ever and provided great customer service, I wish i got their names! One blonde girl helped this guy and gave him a sample for his daughter, and the two other girls with brunette hair made sure me and my fiancé were being helped and they were so kind. definitely the nicest people at the outlet! And the milkshake we got was one of the best...
