Was here about a month ago, and it was great. Manager and staff were excellent. Last time we were there right before closing and the staff was very attentive. Friendly manager. Wow!! What a change in a month. The server never cleaned the table. Didn’t bother giving us new silverware. My wife had to tell her to clean up. We were the only non whites in the whole restaurant. I might add. How convenient. Why is there so much clean up??? Well I take a small portion to try instead of a whole plateful. Let me digress. Caesar salad… listen if you decide to have everything premade like the salad dressing, at least, I mean… have some canned anchovies.., yes canned.. it’s about $2.00 a can and I am sure you guys can get it cheaper… no anchovies… frozen pre made hush puppies and coconut shrimp … come one …. Shrimp at the bar…frozen old and over cooked and difficult to peel… definitely not crisp … egg rolls…. Put some meat inside instead of all dough … Asian food … get an Asian person to consult your recipes.. tell your line cooks … to fill the baskets with the correct hush puppies .., get a good brand that’s not so dry. Get a better brand of less breaded coconut shrimp. I tried some nachos with cheese and beef Even hominy The bread…. For crying out loud can you have some fresh baked rolls… They were package bagged dinner rolls from Costco. I tried a little of everything and that’s why I had so much uneaten food. The desserts were good. Good cheesecake. And great ice cream The prime rib is pretty good but not as good as before … note to the chef… it needs a lot more salt I did notice a manager watching the line of people getting prime rib about 5 deep. The main cook was grilling a steak for a patron and as people were waiting the lady manager just stood there not cutting prime rib for the other customers. That just tells you the managers do not care about customer service. She was just enjoying the cook get back up. We were just waiting for 5 minutes watching her cook. But doing no carbs most my life I tried as much as I could… that look somewhat appetizing
So now the worse part The absolute worse part I finally got something good A salted ice cream cone with Reese pieces Man that was delicious Unfortunately when I walked out my ride bumped me and I dropped it I asked the server I just dropped an ice cream I just ate She sorry no food is allowed I understand rules I didn’t take out a steak or a friggin meal or pizza It’s a dessert I wanted to eat while walking around The manger said No Let me tell you A simple ice cream cone is a quarter or less …. You chose to say no … after being a repeat customer

Service and atmosphere is almost as good as it used to be at any Luby's cafeteria.
I don't know what they are thinking by overcharging this much for a mediocre experience at best. My guess is that most of their buffet customers are loyalty card rewards members with a substantial discount or free coupon. There is no chance we will ever pay...
