While the food was delicious and the staff prompt and courteous, my complaint with the diner is how they treated the waitresses. Some of the complaints in other reviews about the wait-staff might have something to do with the staff being uncomfortable, which has a tendency to make a person less able to focus on performance.
I loved the theme and the décor looked great. The outfits-costumes were cute but not very warm and it was pretty cold in the room. We kept our jackets on to eat, and the waitress had goosebumps and blue skin in spots from being cold. After inquiring why she didn't wear a sweater or jacket, we found out it wasn't allowed. When I looked around, I saw the management was adequately dressed for the cool temps with sweater and slacks. Male staff all had slacks at least but still had short sleeves.
The obvious discomfort of our waitress and the other waitresses was disturbing enough to make the experience less than great. Management: at least let the wait staff wear long sleeves or sweaters if they are cold! There are sweaters that will match the look you're after, unless the 'abused young lady' look is part...

Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Sweet Slice of Nostalgia at HWY 66 Diner We kicked off our weekend stay at the Hard Rock Hotel with a classic diner-style breakfast at HWY 66 Diner—and it was the perfect start. The retro vibe, friendly service, and hearty breakfast made us feel like we’d stepped back in time in the best way possible. Later that day, after an exciting afternoon of gambling, we couldn’t resist returning when we saw their homemade milkshake list. And wow—what a decision! Sitting side-by-side at the vintage counter, we shared a romantic moment that felt straight out of a movie. We ordered the Peanut Butter Heath Bar shake, and it was hands-down one of the best we’ve ever had. Rich, creamy, and blended right in front of us, it was the perfect mix of indulgence and nostalgia. More than satisfied, my husband and I were so glad we chose to share that experience. HWY 66 Diner isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a place to make memories. Highly recommend stopping in whether you're craving breakfast, dessert, or just a little...
