EDIT/UPDATE: We have gone a few times and as you can see from my previous review, we really like the place. The last time we went on 06/02 we had a few issues. Before reading the longwinded review below, the main important thing to note is the only meal we ate on Sunday was this one and some popcorn from Harkings. Both my wife and I were sick that night and into today which is prompting the review.
Each persons food came out 15 plus minutes from each other. 2. The last one to come out took forever from ordering and the Salmon was very undercooked and the fried chicken was soggy (Still ate the chicken against better judgement). 3. Since it took forever for the salmon and after eating undercooked food we just asked for another simple dish (tacos) but they instead brought out another salmon. 4. The second salmon was undercooked and with no desire left, we just let the chicken slide but they did comp the salmon. 5. Within the span of 10 minutes while waiting for the corrected food we did see one waiter spill a glass of water on a guest and another one dropped what appeared to be a lobster tail from a customers plate they were serving. He picked up the tail but left the rest so we watched it get stepped on and spread around the floor.
It was almost comical and we weren't sure if there was a gas leak in the kitchen affecting the servers and cooks or what was going on. Our server was nice and good so we did tip him as it wasn't his fault.
Overall, we will not be back.
First time here and we really enjoyed it. Food was good and service was excellent. I believe our server name was Gillian who was great as well as everyone else from the hostess to the other servers who brought a puzzle over for my son to do and get a free dessert. We will be back for sure as the quality of food and drinks was high and price was what you would...

We didn't get a very good impression of Smokin Fins. First, they only had cod and halibut available because they were out of Mahi Mahi. The Mahi Mahi was the house special!!! This meant no tacos either. We were there at 6:30pm on a Tuesday evening and they were already out of their special??? At a seafood forward restaurant?!?!!! Our server, Cassie, felt terrible and did a fantastic job with our table. She went out of her way to try to suggest things to make up for out of stock items, etc. She is the reason for any stars at all--she is great. Also, the hostess came around and took all the candles away from all the tables at 7pm and acted like they were closing. We felt very unwelcome as did the table next to us. That couple told us "definitely don't order the sushi. It's not good" so we avoided making any choices from that menu. The calamari was HORRIBLE! SO OVERCOOKED AND RUBBERY. Tasted freezer burned. So did the beer battered shrimp. The cod in the fish and chips was clearly frozen and not fresh. It was mushy. The oil smelled very old on all of it--calamari, shrimp, cod. Guess we made some really bad choices. The asparagus was terrible as well. Extremely over cooked and super greasy with horrible balsamic glaze. I had cedar plank salmon and asked for it to be rare to medium rare. It was definitely medium to medium well but at least seemed fresh. We really had high hopes for Smokin Fins, but we're really disappointed. I think they definitely cater to the Happy Hour crowd. Some of their menu items sound really delicious but I am unsure if we want to...
Read moreMe, my sister, and our dear friend ended up here a few days ago after arriving at Roy’s for happy hour only to find that it was closed with no notice (nothing posted on the door, no answer on the phone, and no update on their Google profile). We were glad to have the opportunity to try Smokin Fins because we have driven by it many times and have talked about checking it out.
We sat on the patio by a nice long fireplace which was great because it was a little chilly outside and it provided the perfect amount of warmth. Our server Kevin was amazing. We told him we had not been there before and he quickly offered some suggestions for what we should try on the menu. We ordered a smorgasbord of appetizers off of the happy hour menu which we found offered a wide variety of options plus buy one get one 1/2 off on sushi. Two of us orders the Fin’s Ultimate Bloody Mary which I kid you not came with half a crab in it!
Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! Lobster deviled eggs, shrimp nachos, crispy cauliflower, kickin’ shrimp, truffle french fries, and 2 sushi rolls. It was more than enough food for the three of us.
We all had a lovely time. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly, courteous, and very attentive. Kevin was probably one of the best servers we’ve ever had. I mean the guy offered to run across the street to Starbucks and get me an espresso at the end of the meal how do you top that. In conclusion the only thing I have to complain about is that they don’t have an espresso machine (first world problems). It was an excellent experience and we will absolutely...
