He's Not Here — Restaurant in Chapel Hill

The Outdoor Space is a Chapel Hill Community Treasure. 5 stars.

Indoors I can touch the ceilings. Thats 2 stars.

This is an Undergraduate Staple along with Pantana Bobs when I was around 25 Years ago. A must visit bar while you are in Chapel Hill to meet undergrads.

The smallest draft beer is 32oz.... the signature cup of a black out night to come.

Overall it gets 4 stars, this was a hard decision. The bar is a 3. Just know biger better bars and resturants lie ahead in your future!

The outdoor area under the Magnolia Trees is special. As I noticed all the needed new multi family investment next door built 50' high. I bumped my rating to a 4 star because of the location and Trees and the value of the land.

I have been going to this bar for the better part of 10 years. I have liked this bar until recently. I don't feel as if you should ever go to a bar and get yelled at or sworn at by the bartender/OWNER!!! I would understand if we had been drunk or disrespectful, but we were nothing but apologetic about an incident with pizza that was laying on the bar. A drunk man asked for the pizza - we gave it to him and he ate one slice. Apparently this was horrible and the bartender got mad at us, not the drunk man. The bartender swore at my boyfriend using the F-word. I also came back in to apologize and was talked to in an angry manner. Flat beer in big plastic cups so it gets hot and a plastic taste before you can enjoy it. This place has to be managed by someone who got the job after the place has already gained its popularity and lore. I say that because there is absolutely no motivation to promote or increase business. Instead the social media account seems to be used for passive aggressive complaints about other bars in the area. Other bars that didn’t seem to respond even thought the easiest response would have been well you would be a better bar if you sold Rumple Minze. But we all know why you can’t.
