Taqueria Jalisco — Restaurant in Chattanooga

I work in the same building one day a week and asked a coworker where a good place would be for lunch. He suggested Taqueria Jalisco 2, so we walked down around 1230 and both got the Carnitas Plate social for ten dollars. The amount of good, quality food for the money was exceptional. It was served with refried beans and rice and some Pico and three wraps, I asked for the hot sauce and while the flavor of the sauce was amazing it did leave a little to be desired for the "hot" aspect. UPDATE: After placing my complaint, the owner quickly emailed me and apologized for the poor experience. It does not seem to be the norm. He then refunded me for my order.

I ordered steak cakes. My order was lost and I had to ask about it after 15 minutes. The owner quickly prepared it. However, when I got it 2 of the 3 steak cakes were inedible. The rice and beans and horchata were great.

I also noticed that the method for serving food was not the best. While they use a classic numbering system, sometimes employees will call out the name of the item instead of the order number. This can cause confusion when multiple people order...

Conveniently located in Miller Plaza. They Don't Really advertise it but they're open for breakfast and their steak egg and cheese Americano taco is probably some of the best breakfast in Chattanooga in my opinion. Super authentic Mexican food and Incredibly delicious. They get slammed at lunch and there is a very small dining room so the wait can be difficult. Calling ahead is a great way to cut down on the time... then just approach from the side window instead of the front door. Both...
