This little gem in the heart of Chattanooga will surely put the cherry on top of any Chattanooga experience. With the immediate vibe of “keep Chattanooga weird” this place is a welcoming oasis for all things unique and unforgiving styles clash here as if its a UK punk pub in the 60s. The birthing of musical sounds and stylings can be heard while hear and theres a “smokers porch” out back for social smokers and outdoor gathering. Inside youll find vintage tables and booths that are candle lit with velvet curtaining and canopy. Youll see that behind the bar is a display of their artistic vision manifesting in the form of a collection of artwork and signage that you may not see anywhere else in chattanooga. Located between “Unknown Caller” and “CBC” this little dive is truly a special place and will always be a staple of any night spent in Chattanooga. I would like to add a disclaimer: Because this is also a music venue it can become very loud at times so if on a date maybe go on a night where there is no live performances or choose a really fun date. This place is perfect for small...
Read moreI looked down today and saw A thing I never thought to see. Thin and delicate skin stretching between Each finger of my hand and toe of my feet. I held my hand to the sky and caught the blazing sun In stained glass flesh pulled taught between my fingers and my thumb. I let out a gasp that to my surprise came not from my mouth at all But from slits along my torso where my arms usually fall. My heart began to thump as my lungs filled with air I tried to run my fingers through… scales. Scales in place of hair. And through the fog of terror haze I heard a booming sound That reverberated through the stone - monolithic in the ground Or perhaps the sound came from nowhere at all From a being forever resting in R’yleh’s dripping halls. Have I ever been anything more than what I am? A creature from the depths with the memories of man.
Food is great. Drinks are great. Service is great. Access to the alley is great. Corners of the dining area are perfect for summoning the Hounds of Tindalos....
Read moreThis is a brand new place where mad priest used to be. Limited menu for now, and a full liquor license is coming soon. They have beer on tap and in cans, and the selection is good. Prices are also very reasonable, especially for downtown. I had wonderful service. Very attentive and friendly. As for food, I got the sausage roll. It comes with a side winter salad. The salad was excellent, with fresh ingredients and just enough dressing. The sausage roll was also tasty, but it is basically a brat wrapped with puff pastry. It tastes good, but it is in desperate need of some sort of sauce to dip it in. Or maybe some sharp cheese. Or maybe both lol. They also offer pasties and one is vegetarian. And they have cottage pie (think shepherds pie with beef instead of lamb), and pizza made on rye sourdough crust. Everything is made in house and the food I saw going out all looked delicious. It's difficult to find until they get a sign, but it's worth it. I'll...
