I wanted to share a Kudos to the folks in your drive up window last week. I noticed that the last two times I've been there these last couple weeks, when I goto give the cashier in the drive up my Debit card they are taking steps to make sure I can see the card in their possession at all times. Whether that is by putting the card reader out the window, or always keeping my card up and in view of the window where I can see them run my card at cash register level and at no time is my card being lowered or going out of my sight by turning their back to me. Keep up that good work!! I appreciate it. I work in IT Security. And I heard about a female McD's drive up employee in another State who was taking a long time in the drive through to run a mans card. Several minutes. Turns out she took his card and was copying the numbers from it out of sight... Heard she was making Venmo payments and he received the fraud alerts on the customer's cell phone before he could even leave the parking lot. So thank you to the Poke / Chubbuck McD's here for taking steps to properly handle my debit / credit card when I go through the drive though. Please make this your standard operating procedure going forward in case this isn't formal policy yet. But know, many of us are watching for how your employees are handing our PCI information and watching for anything resembling credit card "skimming" behavior from your staff. You guys at this McD's are doing great so far!! Please keep up the great work and pass along the message to the rest of the staff. After all, you do work just a few short blocks from the FBI... (couldn't hurt to remind the staff of this fact in case anyone has any bad ideas) lol On the downside, your team did forgot to put two apple pies we ordered and paid for in our drive through order last Saturday and didn't have time to go back around again and wait another 15 mins in line... you had us in the drive up parking spot #1 and you walked our order out to us and walked away before we could inform you... so we'll come see you tomorrow about that. Otherwise, good job...
Read moreFrom walking in, to walking out this McDonald's was AMAZING! When walking in, a lady who was squeeging the outside windows, left her "post" to open the door for me. As I walked in trying to keep my kids from scattering, I started herding them towards a table when a manager (he was the only one wearing something different) approached asking if I needed help with anything. I was a little taken aback and before I could calculate an approriate response (not asking for something that I would label dumb), he asked if I would be needing a high chair. I accepted graciously and went to our table. He came back and I was able to seamlessly get all the kids comfortable so I could get our food (I had ordered ahead - for the first time and had prepared myself for the impending snags usually associated with such). I got to the counter and waited no longer than 30 seconds before my order came out. The casier said to enjoy my meal when I walked past him (when he didn't really need to since I hadn't needed to talk to him, but it was nice of him to do that). I got to my seat, divied out the food and realized that we were missing an apple slices. As if on cue, the same lady who opened the door approached asking if everything was looking right. I mentioned the apples and she fetched it for us. We ate happliy, ordered my favorite shamrock shake for us as a reward for such good behavior that day and we had a little pile of take-home items in the middle of the table. Again, just as we finished our shake, another young man approached - no doubt noticing the stack - and asked if I'd like a bag for said items. I said yes and headed home. This was the BEST service I think I've EVER received from any McDonald's and I can't thank them enough for making our outing so stress-free! Thank you, thank you,...
Read moreThis morning my pregnant fiancÊ went in to grab something to eat. Well, as we were waiting to go inside she started feeling sick, so she went into the bathroom and had to do that "morning sickness" thing. Well, 28 minutes after arriving, I decided to fill out some applications, as my current job is going out of business. Anyway, 28(ish) minutes after arrival, (pregnant women know this isnt much time) waiting for her to feel better so I can decide if we are going to eat or just leave, one of the managers comes up to us looking disgusted. I knew she was about to say something as my wife was leaned over towards the wall not able to sit up very well. Instead of asking if she was OK, she stated this: "You two need to order something to eat or drink or leave!! You have 10 minutes to get your stuff and leave or I'm calling the cops!!!" Clearly there wasn't a choice to begin with, considering she did add the "calling the cops" portion. So nonetheless I'm appalled and that manager is absolutely not manager material, and she is very lucky my wife is pregnant and sick, or she would have had to deal with her. And she's lucky WE haven't submitted the pictures of the condition of the lobby on the opposite side of where we sat to her superior. Well, actually, now I think I'll just submit them to BBB. This was the most ridiculous encounter I've had with a "manager" period. I was actually the Assistant Manager of the local Burger King, when I was younger than this woman I speak of, and I think I'd have given her one clear warning to NEVER treat a pregnant customer in such a way or she could find...
