update received prompt communication from management about the concern. They assured me they would improve training. They sent a $20 gift card to my home. While appreciated, no gift card or at least enough $ for my wife and I to come would have been better. Will give the gift card to someone who goes there by their self. No update to original 2 star review.
There were 4 of us that came here after the flying pig. I expected it to be somewhat busy; however, we were pleasantly seated within 10 mins of arrival.
Precious was our waitress and she had a great demeanor and was super personal. She made the wait not as bad due to her approach with us. We waited 1 hour for our food. As you can see from the receipt photos we didn’t order anything complex. I ordered my bacon, hash browns and the English muffin well done and the poached eggs medium well. The white on the egg wasn’t even done. The bacon was not completely cooked nor were the hash browns done well.
I can overlook a lot of things. My largest frustration came from when I went to pay. Lilly was ringing us out. She asked how our meal was and I asked if she really wanted to know. She said yes. I gave her the feedback on how the food was and that precious was great. She immediately got an attitude and basically told us that the to go orders in the kitchen were backed up so that’s that. If she would’ve simply said I’m sorry what could we have done better? That would’ve totally changed our conversation. As a result I had to ask for the manager and the manager came up and he apologized and then wanted to know how much we had spent on our food. I let him know that I’m not someone who is looking for free food. I’m extremely disappointed in how long it took for our food and how my feedback was received by Lily. Lily does not represent the company well especially up front ringing people out.
Very disappointed and...
Read moreWow!! Wow is seriously the only thing I have to say about this place. It is out of this world good! Denny’s and ihop have nothing on this place. First watch is definitely my go to breakfast and lunch spot after my experience here. Every single item that I had was beyond amazing. And you can tell that the ingredients that they use are high quality and are chosen very specifically and carefully. My top favorite thing that I had is their million dollar bacon which is hardwood smoked bacon baked with brown sugar, pepper, cayenne, and maple drizzle. Look if you get nothing else from here this is an absolute must!!!!! You will thank me later. Trust me please I beg you. This bacon is crazy good. I’m pretty sure I could eat 100 pieces on my own. The flavor combination is delicious! The street corn hash was also really good I just wish that the potatoes were a little more crispy. But still really good. The avocado toast is also delicious but how can you really go wrong with anything avocado related? The bread that they use is great! It’s a whole grain toast that will want you to just buy a loaf and use it for everything. Another must is the lemon ricotta pancakes. Listen, I’m not huge on pancakes mainly because usually when I get them they’re kind of dry and mushy. First watch does not make them like that. These were so fluffy and the flavors went so well together. The lemon was not at all overwhelming. The ricotta definitely helped with the moisture aspect of the pancake and was just super yummy. I also love that they have fresh pressed juices here. It gives you the chance to put some healthy nutrients in your body while chowing down on some pancakes and bacon. All in all I love this place. Everything that went into my tummy was a delight. I will definitely be...
Read moreThis is the worst first watch I have ever been to in my life. They serve anything to you if you request a pick up order, so check everything before you leave! I was just there today and ordered a chickichanga that we literally burnt! I approach the hostess, who also agreed with me that it was overcooked.
She was very nice, and had the kitchen to remake it. The remade one was not any better. The chickichanga comes with eggs. I got back to my hotel room to discover that the remade item was no better than the first. There were no eggs in this dish. The traditional breakfast that I paid for was also not cooked correctly. The eggs were extremely over cooked and the potatoes were burnt. After attempting to call numerous times to request my money back for the inconvenience of having to walk back to them to give them this garbage, they refused to answer the phone. When I attempted to call, all I get is the phone ringing and no one will pick up. As a person who is visiting Cincinnati, it is important to have good food. The second picture indicates there are no eggs, do you see any eggs there? This is a place I would avoid at all costs! As someone who enjoys first watch, this location should not be associated with the brand. If they do not know how to cook a dish, they should just let the...
