Was very excited to see a falafel/salad place after walking boardwalk. Walked in, one customer waiting for her order. I asked the man at the grill if anyone was Israeli, he said his father was. I saw my parents were. I gave him my order and I asked if he ever went to Israel and he said he didn’t like it, the people were queer and he would t go back. I said it’s a beautiful country and he shook his head no. He plated my order and charged me $17 for a chopped salad and pieces of chicken with techina. My friend broke a tooth on a big pebble in their "Spinach Pie" and the guy working the counter didn't know what to do--he started crying to us in broken English that the owner had not paid him in two weeks! All that said, there are no other places to get shwarma in Long Beach, so what can you do? If you do stop in, avoid making eye-contact with the guy that works the fryer in the back. That is literally ALL the meat. That is one layer, just several thin (think bacon thickness) slices over an entire plate of lettuce and few slices of tomato.
