Fat Paulie's Deli and Bagels — Restaurant in City of Saratoga Springs

Now I understand the talk around town. Absolute worst place in Saratoga to get take out. The wait is beyond unreasonable. Especially since I’m standing here waiting twenty minutes on a dessert and cold sub with zero customers before me. But don’t worry the staff is on their cell phones and extremely rude. Snapped at me telling me blah blah blah about door dash, well I’m not door dash dip head and last I checked if I was door dash you’d want to respect your private contractors a bit more cause they make YOU or YOUR restaurant money. This place is a joke unless it sells and cokes under new management and rehire the staff. Quality of food? I don’t know I’m still standing in here waiting for it. Sundays are for Chicken Parm Dinner Special from Fat Paulies. House made mozzarella (order early before it sells out l!), hand breaded cutlets, sauce so good you can taste the San Marzano tomatos and fresh basil- Fuggedaboutit!! I used to order the dinner special over pasta for myself but now the Sunday tradition is order a Chicken Parm Dinner for 10 from their Catering Menu and watch the Bills play ❤️💙 Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner- Fat Paulies got ya covered with homemade everything from soups & salads to meatballs and Broccoli Rabe, house roasted turkey and beef tenderloin, even grocery and Italian specialty items! Tried Paulie's as we heard great things about them. I was excited to get a chicken salad sandwich and ordered it on a hard roll to go. When opened to eat it, shortly after pick up, to my surprise there was about a tablespoon of chicken salad on the top of alot of mayo and a few slices of red onion. Literally more mayo than chicken salad. While it was good chicken salad, I was shocked that there was so little on the roll. My BFs roast beef sandwich was fine. But for two sandwiches, no pickle or chips and the total over $25 it certainly was not worth it. Prices seen high for the sandwich you get. Much better places to get a good sandwich in Saratoga for a reasonable price.
