Been coming here for years with a large group for a annual conference. We had always came here spent tons of money and tipped very well. This year was a totally disgusting show of disrespect and just plain "little man syndrome who has a little power." A few of use came in and enjoyed a great dinner then headed back to our hotel for a bit without any issues. Wait staff was polite and quick and was rewarded generously. Later on we returned to meet up with several of our colleagues as we have done every year. When I say several I am talking nearly 100 plus people. Upon entering we passed 20+ people walking out stating that the bar tender told them all to leave. Surprised to say the least but we still went inside and went up to order some drinks. As we walked up to the bar we witnessed the a young short male bartender screaming at a young lady. He then told her to get the f out. When 2 gentlemen at the bar spoke up for her, they were told to leave also. We were able to order our drinks....3 beers. I handed the guy $40 he cashed us out the threw my change directly into his tip jar. I asked him how much the beers were and he walked right away from me. As I stood there waiting for him to return we witnessed him kick out 5 more people, yet we could not figure out why since he just all of the sudden started screaming at them and many others. Identifying that this bartender was " off his meds" I returned back to our group. While we were finishing our drinks another 4 or 5 people were told to leave and several of our colleagues that were still there began leaving and told us that we were going to meet up at a new place since obviously this place did not want us there. We finished our drinks and returned our bottles to the bar, told the crazy bartender thank you and good luck with kicking everyone out. As i walked back to my group, the crazy bartender came out from the bar and followed me screaming that I was kicked out and needed to leave. I told him that we were leaving but could I ask why? He then asked what I had said, so I repeated " Thank you and good luck with kicking everyone out". This is when his meds must have kicked in because it was like flipping a switch. He told me that I can stay and the next beer was on him. Who acts like this????? CRAZY! We left the establishment and more than likely will never return. We met up with 80 - 100 of our colleagues ( several who had been treated like garbage by your bartender) at another establishment were we had a great time spent a ton of money and were we most likely will return next year. Hopefully the management reads this and does something about it. If they would like more details or would like to apologize, reach out. This was disgusting and if it were my business......I would be...

The O Mahony Society is an international association of members and friends of the O Mahony Clan. The O Mahonys (O Mathuna in Gaelic) descend from Mathuin (Mahon), son of Cian mac Maol Muadh, Prince of Raithleann, and Saidhb, daughter of Brian Boru. Mathuin became Prince of Raithleann and chief of the Ui Eachach Mumhan in 1014 A.D.
The O Mahony Society's purposes are to foster studies on the history of the Clan, to promote interest in Irish culture and heritage, to promote and encourage the restoration and preservation of the historical sites associated with the Clan, and to promote fellowship among members.
We recently held our North American Gathering in the Saratoga Springs area. It included a full weekend of events. We chose the Parting Glass for our Saturday night celebration and dinner. I was the guitarist and primary song leader for this event.
Since I live in North Carolina, this took a good deal of advance planning of coordination for the Saturday night event. Susan at the Parting Glass extensively communicated with me in advance and responded to every request and concerns before the event. On the night of the event, I arrived two hours early to find that very detail had been addressed. Going above and beyond, Susan had also arranged for Don (The “Mayor of the Parting Glass”) to be there and he warmly welcomed us and saw to every one of our onsite needs. He also gave us a detailed history if the Parting Glass and joined us for the entire evening, which we all thoroughly enjoyed!
I know that I speak for all our members in expressing our deep gratitude for the wonderful food, the warm Irish atmosphere, and for a phenomenal Irish evening!
Sláinte!

Read moreHow should one rate a "dining establishment" in which the server ignores you at your table for the first 15 minutes after you are seated, then finally realizes he needs to wait on a table... except he waits on the table of 4 that arrived 5 minutes after you?
Perhaps the review should be based on the server forgetting to provide the table with silverware or napkins, even after the dinner has been served?
Or, is it best to base the review on a dinner order of Open Faced Hot Turkey, served with beef gravy (which tasted the same as gravy from a can), instant mashed potatoes and generic slices of turkey (eerily similar to deli turkey, all of the same thickness and consistency)?
Perhaps basing the review on an order of traditional Irish Bangers and Mash, which was also served with instant mashed potatoes and the same beef gravy from a can?
In retrospect, it might be best if the review be based on the lack of cleanliness for the "dining establishment" (dirty floors, torn chairs, card tables used as pseudo dining tables, windows and windowsills which were caked with dirt, dust and random leftover food stuffs).
If you are keen on satisfying your hunger in a "dining establishment" which more closely resembles a college dive bar, that also grudgingly serves food (conveniently during the summer tourist season, perhaps to take advantage of the many out-of-town guests to visit Saratoga who are sadly unaware of just how dreck this "dining...
