For lunch we ate at Coco's Crush Bar OG in Clearwater Beach, Florida. It has been around for 30 years and is owned by two brothers. It is also the home of “Orange Crush”. They play live music nightly and has one of the largest seafood 🍤 menus ( although we don’t eat seafood ) we found that pretty neat. They have three locations two in Clearwater Beach and one in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida. They were also voted #1 Beach Bar in Clearwater 🏝️ Let me just say this was one of my favorite restaurants I ate at while in Florida 🙂

We ordered the chips and house made queso for an appetizer. Which was absolutely amazing and the queso was perfect 👌🏼 I could of licked the bowl 😆

For my entree I ordered thr chicken tacos 🌮 which came with seasoned chicken, lettuce and cheese. It also came with a side of chips, salsa, and sour cream. These tacos were so delicious and tasty. Some of the best chicken tacos I’ve had in awhile. The chicken was perfectly seasoned with a little spice and they definitely don’t give you small portions either. So good I wish they had this place in Wisconsin just saying 😉

Melissa ordered the cheeseburger 🍔 with a side of a coleslaw. Which her meal was also amazing and cooked just perfectly. She really loved her entire meal and all week kept saying she wanted to go back there. I even tried the coleslaw and it had a little spice to it as well. It was so yummy and good 😊

The service was even better. We actually went to a different restaurant before coming to this one and left that one because we sat waiting for 30 minutes for someone to take our order. Im so glad we decided to leave that restaurant and go to this one. The server at Cocos was amazing. She greeted us quickly and was super friendly. She was constantly checking in with us and attentive. When we were about to pay our bill we told her we were influencers/food reviewers from Wisconsin and that we were impressed by her customer service 😎👍🏻

Highly recommend checking this place out. It’s in a great location with beautiful seating outside and the atmosphere is just wonderful. Great food. Great staff. They even have games for you to play at the table while you wait. Can’t wait to go back 🙂

Was looking so forward to going here but that was ruined by an hostess that had absolutely ZERO idea how to do her job. We arrived at 9:30pm on a Tuesday for late dinner and drinks after an enjoyable evening at the beach. With MULTIPLE large tables open our party of 3 (2 adults, 1 child) was told to follow the hostess...making sense we proceeded to follow her. But then was intercepted by a very rude man who apparently was also following the same hostess because she had them on a 30+ minute wait that she told us NOTHING about. And her response?..."Oops my bad"

After this she proceeded to tell us "Oh we're actually on a 40 minute wait"...

It was not even this busy and it's not that hard of a job. Get this right for people spending their hard earned money on vacation here. Again, this was by far #1 on my list to visit in Clearwater, but now because of this blatant incompetence I'm not sure I'd even consider stopping by for just a drink...

Also it seems there are at least 3 negative (1 star) over the last month or so regarding the hostess. Yet there still seems to be an issue. This is flat out not acceptable and completely disrespectful toward customers.

UPDATE 24 hours later I decided to give this place a second shot since it really was a highlight I wanted to visit. And I was disappointed yet again. I come by this time about 10:30pm for a night cap and maybe some dessert. After seeing a "Please Seat Yourself" at the hostess stand this time I proceeded to do just that. Now after 45+ minutes not a SINGLE employee has stopped by my table! This place really is a JOKE! Take your hard earned vacation money to ANYWHERE else in Clearwater other than this place. Oh and to top things off it's been 24+ hours since my initial review without ANY response from the owners on either here on Google or Facebook. Sadly can't say that's...

Food was okay. HIGHLY overpriced. It was $16 *(after tax) for grouper cheeks. Just a tiny handful of grouper cheeks on a massive bed of warm shredded lettuce. No other sides included. Most other restaurants along the beach at least give you chips or fries with it. Drinks were good but also overpriced. Another member of our party ordered a drink which was $8 and asked for it to be a double and got charged an additional $6 just for the extra shot. $14 for one double drink is absolutely crazy! The only thing that seemed decently priced for what you get is the nachos and they were pretty good.

*Edited to respond to Coco's reply... the price I typed was off by $2 as I was referencing the closest whole dollar after tax, which is how most consumers are going to speak when talking about what an item cost. Also, as mentioned before, yours comes with absolutely nothing other than a large pile of shredded lettuce. Go ahead and call those other restaurants again and see what the extra dollar theirs costs comes with. It's chips or fries and I'm telling you this from eating at those restaurants. You should also mention that your "all day deals", such as the nachos mentioned in your response, actually end at 7pm. At least that's what our server said. Thank you for pointing out the math on the drink. I'm well aware of how to add simple numbers. The review was to speak to how over priced that is and to let other people know what to expect when eating or drinking at your location... you know... the whole point of leaving a review. Due to the unprofessional and snarky reply from "The Coco's Team", I've gone ahead and dropped a star off this review. Go somewhere else along the beach that has better value for your dollar and won't reply to you like you weren't a paying customer that's entitled to...

Coco’s was located right outside the hotel I was staying at, which made it super convenient. They do have some inside seating, but most of the space is outside in the open air. When I arrived, I was greeted right away and asked if I wanted to sit at the bar or a table. I chose a table. You also gotta show your ID. That area has a police presence. That night, there was police at the door. There was a band playing that night (and every night after that), and they let me know my table would be far from the band which I was completely okay with. I ended up sitting at a huge booth, and I liked that I could see the restaurant widely from where I was. My server came by maybe five minutes later. Since the place is known for being the home of the crush, I asked which one she recommended. She suggested the Black Cherry Lime Crush and I really loved it. It tasted like juice, so I finished it quickly. Be warned though, the cup is a bit misleading. It had a lot of ice, so it felt like there was less drink than expected. Still, I ordered another one, the Strawberry Lemonade Crush, which was also good. For food, I had the saucy shrimp and the steak and cheese rolls. The shrimp had just the right amount of sauce and spice. The steak was seasoned well. The band playing was also pretty good and added to the vibe. Service was good and attentive. The only downside for me was feeling overstimulated at times, with sounds coming from different directions. If that’s something that could bother you, I’d suggest not going at night. Also, since the restaurant was right under my hotel room, I could hear the music every night past 1 a.m. If you’re staying in the area, keep that in mind.
