This is NOT your average chain pizza joint. I stayed on Clearwater Beach and ordered from King's Pizza and Grill. Let me tell you what to expect. Here is your Good, bad, and ugly.
Good Scratch that, let's title that Great. Pizza. How I wish I was more hungry to have ordered more than just pizza. I ordered their 12 inch Philly pizza ("green peppers, mushrooms, onion, and steak meat sautéed before topping it)." The pizza was flavorful and did not lack toppings. I ordered in person, and was told my pizza would take 25 to 30 mins (on a Sunday night at 7:40 p.m. - that's not for lack of employees. They were busy! Don't be fooled by their conservative estimate. I had my pizza less than 15 minutes later. The toppings were plentiful. The price was perfect, total $16.04. Expensive by no means, especially for the quality.
Bad Picture this. Rainy season in Florida (this means is rains almost daily). There is limited indoor seating. There is outdoor seating but who wants to sit in the rain.
Ugly I can't speak to this as my interaction was limited. The staff was friendly, service was quick, pizza was great, and the staff was mindful enough to provide paper plates since I was taking the pizza back to my hotel to eat.
Is this the most amazing pizza I have ever had? No. Is this the most amazing pizza within walking distance of my hotel, with quick service, thoughtful employees and tasty/ quality pizza? ABSOLUTELY. The only regret is that I wasn't more hungry to give this joint a more through review.
King's Pizza, you are on notice. I will be back. I will share my true feelings. You have set the bar, keep...
Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience with Rotakis Towing and Kings Pizza. On September 24, 2023, my wife, handicapped father, and I decided to dine at Kings Pizza at Clearwater Beach. Not only was the pizza extremely oily, leading to us suffering from diarrhea shortly after consuming it, but our cars were also unjustly towed away by the time we finished our meal.
When we went to retrieve our vehicles from the towing place, we found out that many others had faced the same issue. It seems like a deliberate attempt to scam tourists: they lure you in with the promise of a meal and then tow your car while you’re eating. The combination of health issues from the food and the inconvenience caused by the towing, especially to my handicapped father, was overwhelming. We had to bear the unexpected costs of retrieving our cars, the emotional toll of the entire ordeal, and the physical discomfort from the food.
The towing sign does not clearly define the parameters for towing, leading to ambiguity and potential exploitation of customers like us. I strongly urge others to be cautious when parking in this area and when considering dining at Kings Pizza. It’s disheartening to think that establishments in a tourist-friendly area would resort to such tactics. I hope that Rotakis Towing revisits their towing practices, especially in areas with businesses that seem to be in on this scam targeting...
Read moreVenturing to Kings Pizza at Clearwater Beach was supposed to be a delightful escapade, a simple pleasure amidst the ebb and flow of life. Yet, the universe had other plans. The pizza, which should have been a symphony of flavors, felt more like a cacophony with its overabundance of oil. But that gastronomic misstep paled in comparison to the subsequent revelation: our cars, our trusted steeds, had been unceremoniously towed away.
Upon reaching Rotakis Towing, a sense of déjà vu settled in. The scene was reminiscent of a beleaguered gathering, with fellow patrons from Kings Pizza sharing our plight, their expressions a mix of exasperation and disbelief. The parking signs in the area, rather than being beacons of clarity, are riddles wrapped in enigmas. Their ambiguity seems to pave the way for these unwelcome towing escapades, ensnaring unsuspecting souls like us.
For those contemplating a sojourn to this locale, I’d proffer a word of caution: tread lightly, scrutinize your parking spot, and perhaps let your culinary compass point elsewhere. It’s a tad melancholic to pen such words about a place that should be a sanctuary for weary travelers. One can only hope that establishments like Rotakis Towing and Kings Pizza might introspect and recalibrate their compass towards a more...
