We usually love this place but last night we had a really bad experience and the management didnt seem to care. We arrived at 6:15 for dinner and was offered to be seated outside, main dinning area, a high top, or at the bar (there was plenty of seating because they were not too busy). We chose the high top and was quickly seated (no wait time because they were not that busy). We received chips and salsa withing 3 minutes and then we sat there for over 30 minutes with no drinks and no one came to take our order. We stopped different wait staff a few different times to let them know we were ready to order but each one said they were not our waiter/waitress but they would get someone for us. No one ever came. Finally after 45 minutes of being seated we walked up to the bar to place a drink order and to see if we could order food from them but the bartender said we could not and that we would have to order from our table. We informed the bartender we have been waiting for 45 minutes and no one is serving us. They asked us to take a seat and they would send someone over right away. A few minutes later a waitress came over and immediately told us she was not our waitress but she would help us out. We placed our drink and food orders and she came right back with waters and said the manager has been notified of the error and would be over to speak with us in a moment. Fast forward 30 more minutes and we still dont have our food or drinks (just water), the waitress noticed we didnt have our food so she came over and was surprised we had not been served yet because "it should have been done by now" and she went to the kitchen to see what was going on. She must have received bad news about our food because she never came back to our table. We were in the restaurant for almost an hour and a half and we were never served or acknowledged. Unbelievably bad service from a place that is usually on top of their game and the fact that the manager never even came over to talk to us and no one offered us an apology is a...
Read moreI must say that at 1st impression, I was turned off with the Merengue they were playing in the background because this is supposed to be a Mexican restaurant. Well, technically it’s not and the vibe is definitely very Caribbean with dishes that look very Mexican but taste very Caribbean. So, if you are looking for real authentic Mexican food, this is not the place for you or you will be highly disappointed. Now, with that said, my wife and I ordered the Beef and Chicken Fajitas and although we thought the price was a little steep for being a “Mexican,” restaurant, the portions more than made up for the price. You are literally paying $9 bucks for lunch and $9 bucks for dinner because you will not finish it all and you will take the other half home. Their fresh salsa and baked tortilla chips are the Bombshizzle and they aren’t cheap about it. They brought us 4 batches of fresh and baked tortilla chips while we waited for the main entrees. My son and fiancé had their burrito dish and they were very satisfied and my son’s father-in-law had chicken a la plancha with rice and veggies. He is usually picky about what he eats and I’m happy to inform that he ate it all. All he needed was to lick the plate clean. 😂 And the customer service was top notch. My son had ordered his refried beans with no cheese, but they accidentally put cheese on it. When he brought it to their attention, they immediately took the plate back and brought him a fresh batch or refried beans with no cheese. He literally waited a few minutes, so I was very impressed with their promptness to taking care of their customers. So, although I had the wrong vibe at first, I was very satisfied. But I will say that it would be nice if you only played classical Mexican mariachi music in the background or Mexican ballads. No narco rancheras or any of that garbage they play nowadays, but authentic classical Mexican music. Other than that, I’ll be coming back next time we are around...
Read moreI get that what I am about to describe doesn’t involve my mother or I but we were very extremely uncomfortable as we were finishing our meal. The table next to us I think had a party of 6 , 2 young ladies & some children with them & the manager forced them to move to another table however they were already sitting down & eating, because they wanted to fit a larger party at that table who were waiting. He kept on saying that they had a reservation & I agree with the lady , if the party after them had a reservation then why sit them at the table that was meant for them. She kept making it clear to the manager that it was very weird & she didn’t feel comfortable staying at the restaurant so her party left. The hostess gave one of the people in the larger party that were waiting a high five. So this was planned all along ? A sting operation to embarrass the party next to my mother & I in public forcing them to leave ? My mother told our waiter that it made us extremely uncomfortable & the waiter defended the manager by gaslighting the situation making it seem like well she could of said no then all good but we heard the manager & he was forcing the party to move he wouldn’t take no for an answer. Why because they are black & the party that he was giving the table to were white ? This sounds like extreme racism. My mother & I are just trying to enjoy our meal & we were subjected to hearing this uncomfortable exchange & the manager ruined the lady’s sons birthday. That little boy is going to grow up with the forever eternal memory of a grown man forcing him & his family to move from their table on his birthday so that the table will be given to a white family. My heart breaks for this family & my mother & I don’t agree with what the manager did. Horrible !! We are appalled & disgusted by this. We won’t be back & it’s a shame because the drinks & food at this restaurant are amazing but the service & the way that the employees treat customers is...
