Token Ramen — Restaurant in Clermont

Stumbled upon this place when searching for Ramen in Clermont. Called in a carry-out order after finding out they were doing a soft opening (4/26/24). Order was ready within the 15 minutes it took for me to get there after calling it in.

My wife and I are very fond of ramen and have tried most of the ramen places around Central Florida as well as ramen while visiting Japan. We ordered the T1. Tonkotsu and T2. Miso Tonkotsu ramen as they come to go.

The to-go portions are good and come well packaged/packed. The broth comes separate from the other ingredients to ensure its fresh when you get home. There was enough broth to fill the entire bowl and portions were enough to fill us up.

The pork chashu was some of the best I've ever had with a fantastic flavor and the fat fully rendered! All of the ingredients were fresh and full of flavor that complimented the broth. Normally, tonkotsu is our favorite broth, but we both actually preferred the T2. Miso Tonkotsu more. The regular tonkotsu wasn't as sweet as I'm normally accustomed to however adding some garlic chili oil to amp up the flavor and spice to my liking made it even better.

We are both super happy to have found Token Ramen being native to Clermont and this spot will almost certainly join our regular lunch/dinner rotation!

I highly recommend trying them out but note they will likely won't have a grand opening until next...

Token ramen is literally the best ramen I have ever tasted. Pictured is the curry shrimp ramen and the miso tonkotsu ramen. The curry shrimp was so delicious. It was just spicy enough to provide heat but not overly spicy to cause a runny nose like some places try to do. The shrimp was high quality and they provide plenty so you won’t leave hungry. The pork in the tonkotsu is perfectly cooked and the broth is loaded with flavor. They hard boil an egg and drop that in along with some very high quality mushrooms. The noodles are firm and abundant. They do not short change on any of the ingredients. This is literally the tastiest ramen I’ve ever had. The ramen bowls are anywhere from $15 to $19 so it won’t break the bank. I will be returning very soon. Next time I will be ordering the wings and also the gyozos, which look incredible. Food was not good, service was very slow. Food took forever to come out. When we got our checks the tip option was pre calculated with no option to remove the fee. At no point was this declared before seating, verbally or physically. One of my party members went to ask about it in which our waitress said she would remove the fee. After she ran our cards we asked if the fee had been taken off which in response she said no. When we asked where this involuntary tip was declared, she said it was not and she’d put up a sign tomorrow.
