Embarrassing to say, but my first time here was a few days ago. As a Clevelander, born and raised, I should’ve been here.

I believe my star rating will go up considerably after another visit and I update my review.

Ill admit, I came an hr before closing, I asked for a food menu and the bartender paused like he wasnt sure he wanted to give it to me. But he ended up giving it to me, and I very quickly placed my order, because I sensed it may have been coming down to the wire for ordering. Working in the restaurant business for years, I get it. No issue aside from the guys standoffish attitude. Im not one to judge, still all good at this point.

Food arrives, im 1/3 finished with my burger and I realize it’s pretty red in the middle. Which grossed me out I walked up to the bar and asked if I can just get some wings and replace for the burger and it will be all good. The other bartender was super cool and refused to not remake my burger for me. much appreciated. I got wings also.

The other burger that came out had that sour burnt taste to it, didn’t end up eating that either. Even having a good buzz, the wings were subpar.

Again, I definitely hope to return and update this review because I’ve never heard anything but great about this bar. I’ll just make sure to come mid shift, not towards the end.

Focusing on the present, it was packed on a...

THAT SUPPOSED TO BE A TURKEY CLUB! I wish I could give this place zero stars. They couldn’t do anything right. We understood it might take some time to get our food before the Stones concert and we were willing to be patient. First they dropped off two pitchers of water but no cups to drink the water. It took 30 or more minutes to get one high noon, a bottled beer and a miller lite draft. Now let’s get to the food, my burger was burnt, fries were pitiful and cold and the bacon I added to my burger wasn’t there. Two orders of chicken tenders were never made, they served us wings with zero sauce. The worst order was the turkey club, look at that picture of a “turkey club”. Made on stale bread, one slice of disgusting turkey and gross bacon. We didn’t ask for no tomato or lettuce but they were never put on the sandwich. Our other “Turkey club” was made with the stale ends of a loaf of bread. How can a cook let this leave their kitchen?! WILD!! When we said we were missing two orders of chicken tenders we were told they would be made right away and apologized for the mistake but somehow they never showed up. Every person at our table had an issue with their food. They comped some items on the bill, like the chicken tenders but they never arrived so we shouldn’t pay for them anyways. So disappointing after having a good experience...

We recently spent the weekend in Cleveland and stopped in at Johnny's Little Bar on Friday around 5:00 pm. I had read so many great reviews and wanted to check it out. We sat at the bar (front and center) and the bartender barely acknowledged us. We had to ask for a second round of drinks even though we were sitting right at the bar with empty glasses for several minutes. The two other bartenders/servers also barely acknowledged us. We really did not feel welcomed at all. The bar was not busy when we arrived but was starting to get busier when we left. We stayed long enough to have two drinks each and then left. If we had felt more welcomed we certainly would have stayed for several more drinks and dinner. We were looking forward to going to what we thought would be a really fun bar, but left disappointed. **FOLLOW UP - I am impressed that the owners took the time to reply to my review. Based on their reply, in addition to the other great reviews I have read, I would give them another chance the next time we are in Cleveland. I have to say, our visit to Cleveland was fantastic and overall the people were very friendly and accommodating. I'll take this bad experience at Johnny's with a grain of salt and give it another whirl next...

The great thunder-windstorm of 6/10/2020 blew me into Johnny's Little Bar's wooden barstools, not a minute or two before the wind blew the cover off the bartender Patrick's Jeep. After enjoying one of their fine drafts (truth from Rhinehart), I made the great decision of trying a JLB famous 1/2 pounder. Aura, the fine Chef de Cuisine that she is, cooked it up to perfection(medium-rare, full disclosure, two bites were medium but that might have actually made the rest of the burger better). But in all honesty, four months since my last (what I imagine was a) griddle-cooked cheeseburger, this was that sloppy gloriousness that is a terrific burger, with a fantastic pickle (rarely finish them) and really good homemade chips that sufficed for someone that always gets fries with a burger. All told, I'm glad I got to see a bartender bolt outdoors to cover their car from a torrential downpour, enjoy delicious beer with a great burger and then see a double rainbow. Hygiene, sanitation and good ole fashioned humanity all checked out at this establishment. Wouldn't write a review pre-corona because I would want to keep it to myself but some people deserve to be recognized.

It’s literally a small bar in downtown Cleveland, and I loved it. We ordered the beef burger, chicken sandwich, the daily special taco, and some chips. I also tried the blackberry cider. The server actually recommended the donut cider, but I was hesitant—so she offered to let me try a few sips and said if I didn’t like it, she’d drink it herself. That was so kind and made the experience even better. The atmosphere was super chill, and the staff were all friendly. But the highlight was definitely the food. Everything was rich and flavourful. The beef patty was huge, and the chicken in the sandwich was huge, juicy, and seriously delicious!!! I’m 100% coming back—and next time, I’d like to bring more of my friends. This place is a gem!
