We called the restaurant to see if there was a wait. They said that there was but they added us to their wait list. They said it would be about 30 minutes. We arrived around 20 minutes later and were seated within 10 minutes. Once seated, a man came by and asked if we needed anything. My husband asked if we had to go up front to order. The man said, "oh, no one told you anything?" Yes- you need to order up front. We decided what we wanted quickly (2 adults, 3 kids) and my husband and two older children went up and placed our order. A table of at least 11 people had come in around the same time as us. The owner personally went around the table and took their order. (We had already placed our order at the front). We thought it was odd that she was taking their order when we were told we needed to place our orders at the counter. We waited for well over an hour. Finally, my food, my husband's, and my one kids food came out. They let us know that the rest of our food would be right out. 20 minutes or so later, my husband went up to see where our other two kids food was or if it was ever coming. They told him it was coming right up. About 5 minutes later the owner came out and said that she had refunded the two dishes that we didn't receive. (A chicken bowl and kids fried shrimp) We said so okay... are they coming out because they still need to eat???.. she said well the fryer is down (by this time they're closed) my daughter said she wanted crab... the owner said okay I guess we can give you a cluster. The owner told my son that it would be a while for a chicken bowl so luckily he agreed on a shrimp bowl and they were able to get both meals out in a matter of minutes. We have been in Cocoa Beach for 3 days (for the first time) and have eaten at 3 other restaurants and have been so impressed with the food quality and service up until tonight. I will say that the owner was very nice but this has got to be the worst restaurant experience that...
Read moreDrove over from Orlando on a Saturday to check this place out. After spending the morning at the beach, we arrived in the afternoon around 3:30pm. We had skipped breakfast so we got a little crazy and ordered the Q's Crackin' Queen Crab Platter for…just the two of us. (if you didn’t sing that last part in your head or out loud you’re no fun) We got our food pretty quickly and noticed that they gave us a couple extra potatoes/corn/shrimp which was awesome. Everything was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The corn was plump and juicy, and with each bite that delicious corn and their seasoning mix just makes you wanna dance. The potatoes were the perfect consistency of firm yet soft at the same time. They were out of the veggies so for our two premium sides we got the seafood rice and seafood mac n cheese. Just the smell alone of the two side dishes were enough to make your mouth water. Gave them a good mix around and then put a fork full of the mac n cheese in my mouth and I literally raised my hand up to heaven and said “thank you, Jesus” then tasted the rice and said “glory, hallelujah!” After those quick taste tests, we dove right into devouring all of the shrimp first. It was now time to start cracking crab legs and eating lobster tail. Depending on what your lobster tail looks like you may need to use the little side of butter they give you. If you’re like me, you’re gonna skip the butter and find all that extra seasoning that’s all up on those crab legs and swirl it around in that for every bite! Unfortunately they did not have any crab forks and we were only able to get one crab cracker for the two of us to share. That part was a bit of a hassle but we overcame that inconvenience and managed to enjoy our mountain of crab legs nonetheless. All said and done it was a very tasty experience and we will be returning to try out some brunch menu items...
Read moreI have been dying to try this place since I first heard of it! I love LOVE boils and fresh seafood. Cover it in garlic butter? YES PLEASE! The restaurant was clean, bright and inviting. Prices very comparable to similar places with many options! I really was dying to try their snow crab, giant shrimp and Mac n cheese. So I did! I ordered the combo since it came with corn and potatoes which are a must with boils. When the food came out it was in a to go box. For a $40 meal I just don’t want my food in plastic.. it was an instant turn off but the food was beautiful! I got over it. Having crab claws should come with “crackers” for the shell. All we had was a plastic fork and knife and digging through our food… no potatoes. The corn itself was the most bland corn I have ever tasted. Watery is the only word that would apply. The delicious looking butter had absolutely no flavor. Not even a grain of salt. When we notified the staff there were no potatoes in our meal we were told they ran out and it was too close to closing time to substitute. (It was 7:40 and they close at 8) I am very disappointed the staff would not offer another option or even mention they were out of something the meal came with when we ordered and paid. The shrimp, crab and Mac was juicy and plump but again… needed more seasoning and salt. The bathroom was a horror! Everyone needs a good hand rinse after seafood and since my drive was far I needed other amenities before I left. Water was all over the floor, the sink, and toilet paper and paper towels were just sat on top of wet counter spaces. I doubt it had been even checked on that day the state it was in. A clean bathroom says a lot about a business and this one did not leave me or my guest with an want to return. I would try the food again as I think everyone deserves a second chance, but for now, the first impression was...
