Falcon's Bar and Restaurant is inside the Academy Hotel in Colorado Springs. It's in the atrium and is a convenient option when staying in the hotel, although it is open to outside guests as well. The location is across the Interstate where South Gate becomes Academy Boulevard, so this place is frequented by service personnel and their families. They serve Salads, Steaks, Pizza, Burgers and other sandwiches, but they do not serve breakfast unless you are a hotel guest They are open from 6am-10-pm. It was our choice for this evening since we weren't sure about other options in the area. The ambiance is nice, in fact the atrium is set up for wedding receptions and is frequently used for such. The food was good and reasonably priced. I had the Jack Daniels Burger. Beware the drippy sauce. It stains. Portions are filling. Limited desserts are offered but we were full enough to not partake. If you are a hotel guest, a $10 Dinner Voucher is provided, one to a room. The menu is posted on the website. Parking is the same as for the hotel, and is free.

So glad I chose to come to this bar and grill! I was looking for a place to catch the UNLV vs Air Force game and figured they'd be showing it here. Upon request, they changed one of the TVs to the game with no problem. Great service already! I ordered the prime rib dip sandwich with fries and a side of ranch. Additional, I ordered a virgin sangria to enjoy the game with. That sandwich was one of the best prime rib ones I've had! The beef was cooked to perfection and with just the right amount of seasoning. Their fries were also cooked just right (crispy). There is unlimited salad and soup of the day while supplies last. I'm a huge fan of ranch...the ranch was great! I gave the bartender/server a challenge by ordering a virgin sangria. But boy, can he deliver! That sangria was perfectly sweet, mixed, and prepared! Great job, Michael! Food was real good and service was exceptional. I won't hesitate to return here next time I'm in the area. There's plenty of free parking outside and prices are reasonable.

In the pork chop meal, one was good, the other tasted like the meat was really old... Night and day difference between the two cuts. If you like sports bars, it's a great place. One giant and I think 4 other big screens with different games. Air force memorabilia on the walls. Server was great. It was much better than expected for a hotel bar that is not in a big urban downtown area.

Terrible. Christmas Night so I can understand a slow experience. Which wasn’t a big deal. My fiancé and I were enjoying ourselves. First was waiting to be seated. Took 10 min. Drinks went great. Next came appetizer (queso) Wasn’t thrilled with. Asked the waiter ahead of time if the quest was spicy. “Not really”. Well that was a lie. Still didn’t complain. We ordered a pizza. About 45 min later we get pizza. Again the wait wasn’t that big of a deal. They were busy on top of it being Christmas. Pizza was subpar. Wasn’t anything to write home about. Waiter was subpar. He was nice. But. Drinks kept going empty. We ordered a Togo pizza for my soon to be mother in law. Pizza came wrong. We requested no pepporoni, and for pineapple. Pizza came out with pepporoni and no pineapple. We asked for them to fix it. And the waiter seriously says. Can I just get you some pineapple to put on it? Seriously no. Adding pineapple to it. Isn’t the same. Which granted I don’t think pineapple belongs on pizza. But you know. Not my issue. So he says if you want this you can keep it. Or else it’ll get thrown out. He says it’ll be free of charge. Another 20 mins goes by the pizza comes out. Looks as if the pineapple was placed afterward. Which we could tell the difference because on the pizza we ordered. It had half of it as pineapple. Which looked totally different. We get the ticket for $36. Ehh no feelings here for a large pizza, small pizza, queso, 1 soda, and water. I left cash tip and wrote it on there. Left cash tip of 25-30%. Feeling generous for it being Christmas. Little to find out we get to the hotel which is across the street. The pizza we got to go didn’t feel cooked and tasted funny it got thrown out. Few hours later I check my acct balance and I’m being charged for $44. On my card. With that being said. We call the restaurant. They tell us sometimes there is a transaction fee on the banks side. That in a few days it’ll revert to $38. Uhhhh. Never heard of that before. Little to say. I will never come back here. Service was terrible. Food was subpar. Wished I would’ve just went to Bar Louie or Ihop. This will be one of those stories we tell family about for sometime about how bad service was. I’m sure I’ll joke about it later with the family. But. Not happy with tonight. Learned my lesson on traveling when...

I was looking forward to eating there last night. Although it was not busy, service struggled. I waited for a while to be seated. I was directed to an empty reception area and no one to greeted me or usher me to a table. Not sure if the guy was going off duty, came back to check on me and said for me to sit where I prefer. I was told my server was Tammy with a long hair who came around asked the guy -table in front of me if there is something else that he wanted but never made eye contact with me nor check if I've been attended to... what happened to customer service? I made eye contact on another server and I guess motioned Tammy to check/take my order but never came to my table. The other server was visibly busy attending to other customers and Tammy was trying to find something to do to make it look like she was busy. I watched her went to the bar and chatted with the other guest while I'm still waiting for anyone to take my order. Finally, the other server came after taking other customer's order who came after me. Tammy avoided checking on me even as the other server asked her too and even the off going guy approached her and told him that I was the other server's customer!!!! How do I know, because the guy said Tammy was not my server it is the other one! ..... like I have leprosy or maybe not fair skin like Tammy would want her customers to be. Yes, I could've got up and left for another restaurant. Not this time though. How about teaching your server to treat everyone equal regardless of...

Please don’t think this is what Colorado Springs has to offer for cuisine. We have much, much better food with in a 5 minute drive. Went there last night on a date and I wish we had gone to the Wendy’s across the street instead. I ordered the ribeye cooked medium RARE, what I got was a ribeye cooked medium well instead. The manager on duty had apologized for the wait, if I had know that over cooking my steak was what was taking so long, I could have saved them some trouble. Our meals came with the salad bar. The items in the bar were not kept cold in anyway and several of the dressings had that greasy film over them that reminds you of mayo left out in the sun. I took a few bites of my salad before I tasted something very off and wisely decided I’d had enough. The meal also came with a dessert, either ice cream or cake. I was hopeful that at least dessert would not be disappointing. I was wrong. Very, very wrong. We each got a slice of cake that was completely dried out on the outside, except for the part that had been face down on the plate . And not just a little dried out. It was so crusty that we actually flipped the cake over and kind of hollowed it out to get the edible parts. It was clear that the individual slices of cake had been sitting on the plates, uncovered, for maybe a day before they were served. The only reason anyone should eat here, is if they are snowed in...
