Some of the worst service I have ever had, and the food was bad. We had a reservation in place and arrived a few minutes before to a less than halfway full dining room with 6 tables seated. Not busy and open tables. The host takes us to the bar and seats us in the only table not bar height in the back corner with the bartender now being our server.
It took the bartender 15 minutes to ask our beverage order. We asked for an $80 bottle that is supposed to be served cold to which he replied, "which one is that?" This is a wine bar, by the way. 10 minutes later he arrived with a bottle of bubbles that he retrieved from the display case (spoiler: it was not chilled) and proceeded to then take it away to say he would chill it as a favor. This was right after he pointed the cork at us trying to open it. $80 warm bubbles...
15 minutes go by and he comes to take the appetizer order. We placed the order for truffle fries and grilled artichoke. He initially filled the glasses with 1/3 of the portion, so we needed to ask for the bottle back.
20 minutes go by and the bartender comes by to take our entree order. We have been here 45 minutes and haven't received any food yet. Wait, we did receive someone else's Caesar salad by mistake to which the food runner replied, "Are you sure you didn't order this?" Yes...I am sure I did not order that.
It had gotten to the point where I had to find him at the bar and ask him politely if he knew anything about our first appetizers we ordered and he scoffed quickly and dismissed me with a simple, “Yeah, it’s coming.” A few minutes later we get our appetizers. The truffle fries were obviously left out fries that had to be re-fried, and they were the best part of the entire night, ironically. Half of the grilled artichoke was burnt beyond edibility.
Then a good 2-3 minutes after we finally received our appetizers OUR MAIN COURSES COME OUT! So, we are a couple minutes into trying the first things we ordered and now we are tasked with choosing which thing is going to be better left eaten cold.
I had the Trout that was only grilled halfway on the skin side and obviously covered to steam to cook. Not exactly per the description of grilled trout. Not to mention it has a “bed” of boiled orzo pasta and 6 green beans. The orzo pasta was just bland pasta boiled and slathered in butter. That, while not spectacular, is not even what would be worth taking the time to review. Just thought I’d mention it for ultimate clarity.
Then, there is the peaches and burrata dish. 60% of the peaches were completely unripe and inedible. Have you ever tried to bite into a completely unripen piece of fruit?
There was a vegetarian dining and there is a green chile mac and cheese dish on the menu. There is also a dish that sounds vegetarian, but when we asked the bartender, he said it is probably not because of chicken broth. He said that they could just change it to veggie broth, but we were concerned on that at this point. He literally had no idea about anything. However, the precedent is set that there is a vegetarian here.
There is no indication on the menu that the mac and cheese contains pork. It is also listed under the “eat your vegetables” section. I am not the vegetarian and tasted the mac and cheese and immediately noticed there was pork in it. When the bartender came by, probably 15 minutes later, I told him to please remove this from our tab because it isn’t vegetarian. His response? To ARGUE with me that it was. He tried to claim that the pork was the green chiles! I had to physically show him that, yes, this is meat. I was baffled. I wasn’t being some Karen, this was some really egregious stuff.
10 minutes go by and he comes by with an empty apology. I was just honestly baffled the entire night. I should also note that the owner/manager greeted us at the beginning and dropped our water. He was absent the rest of the night and never touched the table. This place is in bad need of decent management for what they...

The restaurant exudes an upscale yet inviting ambiance. The establishment was impeccably clean and comfortably accommodated our party of fifteen. The lighting and interior design were thoughtfully curated, creating an ideal setting for commemorating significant achievements, birthdays, and anniversaries. A market within the premises offers reasonably priced, bite-sized snacks and desserts. The Yak Burger, particularly with the fried egg, proved to be a satisfying choice and is highly recommended for its value. However, the Stroganoff portion size was noticeably smaller, diminishing its value proposition, especially considering its status as one of the more expensive entrees. The ribeye, albeit pricey, was cooked to near perfection and provided a fulfilling experience, justifying its value rating.
(The cons) Our server inadvertently mixed up our orders. I had placed an order for the same entree as another guest at our table, however, mine was to be cooked medium well and his, medium rare. Unfortunately, I received the medium rare entree and he received the medium well. Subsequently, the server displayed an unprofessional attitude when we requested separate checks, despite not having previously inquired about our payment preferences. While her service was not overtly rude, several of us perceived her demeanor as somewhat impertinent.
(Shoutout) Chef Timothy provided exceptional service and graciously accommodated our unique requests. His meticulous attention to detail ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was flawless, with the presentation of our dishes being...
Read moreI want to preface this review that the food was tasty, and came out very fast. Our server, Alex, I believe (works behind the bar) was MORE than accommodating and friendly. However, this rating and review is based off the experience I and my friend had with management. I have Celiac Disease and my friend is vegan so when ordering, there had to be certain changes we asked to be made. Nothing extreme. Alex was more than happy to help and clarify. For the kitchen staff to not understand the difference between vegan and vegetarian/not know what on the menu is which, doesn’t hold confidence in anyone needing a certain substitution whether by choice or belief or necessity. The MANAGER himself not only argued with our server in front of us about why I couldn’t eat farro (google it if you don’t know what it is - it’s WHEAT) while our server tried to defend why the plate needed to be changed; but then proceeded to try and serve it to me again, after Alex had removed it to be substituted for a vegetable. From there, I was told my the manager how my meal was already gluten free and very blatantly had an attitude of annoyance and disbelief when I told him it was not before taking the plate back. I’m assuming after googling it himself, I was brought out a substitution I could eat.
All in all, like I said, the wait staff and the food was good. However, to be questioned and given an attitude by a manager for an honest preference I asked for was very off-putting. I truly hope that if anyone has been served something with the assumption it was vegan or gluten free here hasn’t gotten sick. I hope this leads to the staff and management taking time to learn what’s on their menu and respect their wait staff a...
