I have been going to chili Thai since 2018/2019 and the service was always great and the food even more amazing. Since they’ve closed and with new owners or management they have made a turn for the worse. The service I had was absolutely unacceptable. We waited atleast 30-40 minutes before I had to waive down a server to take our order. It was busy so I understand but every waiter was going to every table around us and refused to serve us or even check-in with us. They even helped customers who came AFTER us and took their order. Once we ordered we got our drinks and once again was ghosted by our server who was also the manager. She never once communicated about wait times, updates on our meal, re-filling our drinks, or anything else. We processed to wait another 20-30 minutes before we saw the customers who came in AFTER us being brought food and appetizers before us . I decided to go speak to the server at the check out station who was supposed to be our server to articulate what we were feeling. I was respectful and just wanted an apology or an update on our food. While I was speaking 2/3 of the orders at our table was brought. She was VERY dismissive and insensitive. She didn’t make eye contact and proceeded to do what she was doing as if I wasn’t there and there was no ounce of empathy for the situation. I went back to my table but felt so uneasy about the conversation I couldn’t even eat my meal. Another server was passing by and asked if we were good and brought up the situation and she proceeded to do nothing and also acted as if she didn’t care and just said “the tips are shared”. At check out was the same server and I proceeded to ask for the manager. The manager was our original server and as I had spoken to her before I reiterated what I felt as a customer and communicated how I felt dismissed and like I was an inconvenience for them. She proceeded to simply reply “Okay” and walked away. The other server proceeded to check us out and I specifically told her no tip. She then gets passive aggressive and starts over explaining to me a about the process of signing a receipt as if I don’t know how to check out. She even starts saying “you need to write it!” And starts passive aggressively smiling and laughing while shaking her head. Almost like us being treated horribly this entire time didn’t happen and we don’t hold the right to refuse a tip. As if horrible service should be awarded. We all paid and I asked for bags. She leaves around the corner says something under her breath and throws us the bag on the counter. Not even making eye contact. I have NEVER felt so disrespected by an establishment and I will not be returning. FOOD: As far as the food the Thai tea was the best part and was 10/10. The chicken pad see ew had great flavors but I had to remove the food from my to go box because they served us the most oily plate of food. I’m not sure if I can finish my food because of how much oil. I can not see myself coming back and paying for horrible service and oily food.

Coming from a place that has plenty of very good and authentic Thai food, I’ll admit that I didn't have super high expectations for Thai food in Columbus, but I really enjoyed this! I had a Thai iced tea, a basil roll (split the order of 2 with my friend), and the sea scallops in panang curry. The food was all fresh and the curry was really flavourful, with a moderate amount of heat. The portions were really big - I was very hungry but still couldn't finish my curry. You could easily get two meals out of one entree even if you have a big appetite. The shrimp salad rolls came wrapped in plastic wrap, which I thought was weird, but otherwise the presentation was nice. A silly thing that I'm picky about is Thai iced tea being served with the milk and tea layered rather than mixed, so I was pleased that they made it this way here. The menu offers a large variety of Thai/American-Thai dishes, but is very lacking in vegetarian choices. I know lots of Thai dishes have incidental seafood ingredients like fish sauce, but I would think that they could easily make at least some of the dishes vegetarian by adding a tofu option for the protein. Our waitress was friendly and the right amount of attentive. One thing to be aware of is that you have to go up to the register to pay - we weren't aware of this at first and were waiting around for a while until we realized.

Having lived in Thailand for 20 years I generally have learned to stay away from Thai restaurants. Produce in Thailand is generally free of all the chemicals, as opposed to the US where most food has all sorts of GMO and highly processed ingredients. And most westerners have some odd ideas about Thai food. As in Pad Thai, as a NOT a spicy dish But I took a chance and tried the Pad Thai. Which was okay, but little resembled the Pad Thai I know, but, other than being an American sized portion, was okay. The highlight of the visit was the Thai staff. We must have nattered on in Thai for at least 20 minutes. Talking about places and food we had in common. The young man, from Korat had the easiest time with my dialect. I will be back!

Gluten free eaters!!! Do not come here!! We are here for a military graduation from out of state. My fiance has celiac disease and must eat gluten free. We called around and we were told this restaurant has gluten free options. We love thai food and were very excited. We walked in and right away we waited 10 minutes to even be acknowledged before we were sat at our table. Immediately we told our waitress of the gluten concerns and she shared with us some options. He went with the pad Thai and the coconut soup which she had said was gluten free. Out came the soups. It wasn't my favorite so I gave my fiance my cup as well. The manager and another server came out a minute later frazzled and said the soups he had just eaten had gluten... He rushed to the bathroom to throw up in hopes to get most out of his system... He is understanding and even though we were upset we let it go. His appetizer of curry chicken comes. It is bone dry and miserable to even choke down. His pad Thai comes out NOT gluten free. There is fried tofu that they did not leave out. They remade it with no sauce. It was supposed to have a fish sauce that was gluten free. He said it tasted like vinegar and that was the only flavor. Eager to leave at this point we had to wait in line to pay for 15 minutes!!! Their cash out system really needs work. The lady in front of us was just paying cash and didn't need change and she waited forever just to leave the cash. Once we finally got to the front to pay they charged us for his entire meal!!! They gave him food he is allergic to and then made his food wrong twice and then proceeded to charge us!!! Worst service ever and if you have any allergy whatsoever do not trust this place. They are not careful and they do not care. If you have no allergies and unlimited time with no place else to be all day go on ahead. We will...
