So sad to do this review but when I brought this issue to whoever runs the fb messages they didn’t seem to care. I moved here 2.5 years ago a& have been here about 7/8 times. It’s a beautiful place and the food is normally good so I do feel maybe based on that it should rate higher stars but after the last couple times it seems things have changed. This last time was the absolute worst. Brought my out of town friend who flew in to celebrate my 45th birthday. Made a reservation a couple days before. Got there & watched several come in after us and be seated. Didn’t say anything because only one I knew for sure was a walk in group. The rest could have had a reservation. Sit down get drinks fairly fast but then didn’t see our waiter for bit. During this time a group was sat behind us in a booth. They had a tiny dog. It was not a service dog, that was very clear. They were so loud I could hardly talk with my girl friend. Then the dog wanders off and they didn’t know it was gone! Another table had to bring it back to them. Ridiculous! And this dog would not stop barking and they never said a dang word to the dog, just kept talking loudly ignoring it. By this time several tables we’re looking at them. It was insane! I can maybe see a non service dog outside on their patio but in a restaurant! I am a dog owner, I have 2. Love them dearly would never DREAM of taking them into a restaurant like this AND let it bark constantly and get away from our table. I was not happy. To top it off food took forever and cold! And it was a Friday and they were busy so I could let the food slide but our waiter never came back to check on us so I couldn’t even get it reheated. Needless to say it was the worst birthday dinner I have ever had and I wasn’t excited about turning 45 anyway! Lol. If I ever come across a yapping dog and loud people like that again I will say something at the time. But I didn’t want to be rude to the customers. That’s why I waited until the next day and...
Read moreOn November 11, 2023, We had the pleasure of dining at 11th and Bay Southern Table, a remarkable restaurant at 1050 Bay Ave, Columbus, GA 31901. My sister-in-law, Micki Sanders-Brooks, heartily recommended this establishment, and it has quickly become one of the best dining experiences I've had the pleasure of reviewing. The restaurant's location is fantastic, offering ample parking for guests. As you step through the doors, you're embraced by a warm, homely atmosphere that sets the stage for a memorable culinary journey. Our party consisted of 11 people, and I must commend our waitress, Lisa, for her exceptional service. She went above and beyond to ensure that every need of ours was not only met but exceeded. Now, let's talk about the food – a true highlight of our visit. We began with the Table Biscuits accompanied by Georgia Jams Apple Butter. These were delightful mini biscuits, and the Georgia jams apple butter was a revelation in flavor. The Smoked Oysters served with Fried Saltines, Paprika Oil, Lemon Aioli, and Chives were a hit, especially with my wife, who couldn't get enough of them. For our main courses, we savored the Oven Roasted Salmon with Soy Butter Bok Choy, Black Rice, Trumpet Mushroom, Lemon Aioli, and Gari. The flavors melded together seamlessly, creating a culinary masterpiece. The Bone-In Pork Chop, served with Butternut Squash, Brussel Sprouts, Celery & Turnip Root Puree, and Apple Mostarda, stood out. It was one of the best Bone-In Pork Chops I've ever had – tender, succulent, and bursting with flavor. Our meal was so generous that we regrettably had to forgo dessert on this occasion. However, I'm eagerly looking forward to indulging in their desserts during my next visit. In summary, 11th and Bay Southern Table has the best combination of location, service, food, and atmosphere in Columbus, GA. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience. It unquestionably deserves my...
Read moreIt’s a shame the level of service has gone downhill. We have been patrons since it’s opening and it has been progressively getting worse. The food is good, but not good enough to get sub par service anymore. Tonight was the last chance 11th and Bay had to redeem themselves from the previous lackluster experience. Tonight, we made call ahead reservations and when we arrived were seated immediately but the resturant wasn’t even half full so the call ahead wasn’t actually necessary. Our server who was nice, was no where close to being on par. Once we were seated with menus and she brought us all waters, we did not see her again for 10mins, the two tables that were seated behind us a few minutes after we were sat had drinks and meals ordered before our waitress came back to get our drink orders and she was off again. Once again other tables had their drinks and bread while waiting for their entrees. When our waitress returned she took our order and left again. She shortly returned and told us that there was no bread and it would be 10 mins before any was ready but assured us she would not forget us. Who says that? You are literally telling us that you had to make an effort to not forget you had a table?? Well 20 mins had passed and our meals arrived being delivered by two other servers and then came our waitress with our biscuits! Yay! She didn’t forget us! Once we completed our meal, again we just sat, our drinks weren’t refreshed once, nor were we asked if we wanted another, we had wine and mixed cocktails fyi. So finally giving up, I didn’t hesitate to just hand over my card because who knows how long it would have taken to see the actual check. Again, the resturant wasn’t even half full, plenty of empty tables around us for anyone to be busy, or the kitchen for that matter. I highly suggest you go elsewhere to spend your money until they can get their act together. Because right now, overpriced and under served...
