Uptown Sweets & Treats — Restaurant in Columbus

We were passing through town yesterday and stopped for a treat to enjoy by the river. We got a milk tea drink, a red velvet donut, and a slice of raspberry limoncello cake. The milk tea was good, and that’s the last nice thing I can say. When they put the donut in the microwave we should have realized something was wrong. I assume it was frozen and had to be thawed, but who knows. The donut did not taste like any donut I’ve ever had. It tasted like a hamburger bun that had been died red with a light flavor of old grease. There was a thin sugar goo in the middle. It was not sweet, it was not remotely red velvet. My friend spit out his first and only bite. The raspberry limoncello cake had no scent whatsoever - you’d think it would smell somewhat of raspberry and/or lemon, but nope. It had no flavor either, other than a generic “sweet” that tasted of neither fruit. It was also dry, claggy, and freezer-burned tasting. I absolutely do not recommend anyone spend money...

I don't know what's going on at Uptown Sweets & Treats lately, but today was the final straw. I ordered a medium Peaches n Cream boba with peach popping boba and what got was a glorified kid-sized cup that barely holds 8 oz. To make it worse, 3/4 of that was drink, the rest was just ice. Are you serious? Then came the insult: $9.35. Nine. Dollars. And. Thirty-Five. Cents. For a drink that didn't even last me two sips? That's not just overpriced, that's full-on daylight robbery. I've been a loyal customer for a while now, and the portions have always been fair until now. But after today, I'm done. There's no excuse for this kind of blatant ripoff. Save your money and your time this place clearly thinks...

I was super excited to try it on opening day but...was very underwhelming. Ordered 2 regular sized drinks a greentea with boba and a cookies and cream slushy with boba as well as 1 slice of pumpkin cheesecake all I can say is both drinks tasted very off an chalky compared to other boba drinks I've had an the boba pearls were like old gum with no flavor an falling apart just as they touch your mouth...... the cheesecake was horrible as well never thought I t I'd say a cheesecake was flakey as well as a horrible after taste would never recommend unless they make serious improvements. As well would've given 0 stars if I could go lower. An for all that I paid $25 for a bad...
