I put in a mobile order and got to the store at 11:24. At 11:40 I hadn't gotten anything but it was a large order so I didn't expect it right away but by 11:55 I was still waiting in my car for food even though the app said it was done and delivered. I walked in and asked if it was ready and they hadn't even started on it yet. While I'm standing there I notice a few things:
1.there's nobody working the lobby to take orders, and the line is getting huge. the girl I asked to find my order checks her phone, sets down what I assume is part of my food, walks to the register in the lobby, and clocks out to leave for the day. SERIOUSLY?! nobody there speaks English well enough to handle guest issues or phone calls.
After waiting another fifteen minutes, I've now been there for 45, they hand me two bags of food and my daughters happy meal... no drinks or cups and they acted like I was trying to get free drinks when I asked for them. After checking my receipt they brought me the drinks and I left, highly angry. I get home and start checking my food: daughters happy meal had the wrong sandwich and missing the drink, the fries were cold and felt barely cooked, the Saweetie meal was missing everything but the big Mac, and i got one of two mcchickens I ordered.
When I called to let them know I was coming back for the missing items, I got a lady that didn't speak English and hung up on me. So, I called again and got a different person and explained what was going on assuming she would be there to help me when I got there... she was not or if she was, she wasn't coming to the front. When I got there I was only allowed to speak with the people in the front who mainly spoke Spanish and refused to believe anything I said. When I asked for my missing items they weren't going to give me anything and said I needed to pay for them again. Uh, no! I already paid over $30, waited for almost an hour, and had terrible customer service... I'm not dropping another penny to fix your company's mistakes. After arguing for another ten minutes, I finally got the missing items and came home.
In my opinion from being in management for both food service and retail for the last 15 years this store needs the following: More team members to handle the work load. At no time when a lobby or dining room is open should the register be left alone unless getting something for a dine-in customer. They need more competent staffing because nobody should be leaving in the middle of lunch rush let alone in the middle of fixing a mistake. Team members that speak English well enough to handle issues should be the front line, I don't expect everyone in this country to speak it fluently but a McDonald's in the capital city of Ohio should have at least a few that do.
All in all... worst experience I've had at a fast food establishment in a while and I probably won't be back at this location...
Read moreI'm an Uber eats driver, I pull in, waited 15 minutes to get to the speaker at 12:30am. She said the same thing to me like the other (doordash) driver, "pull around", so I pull around, I gave the last three letters/numbers of the orders, they look around and can't find the order and told me sorry there is no order here. (They made me wait in line for 30 minutes total to say that to me, without verifying that they have the order or preparing the order for me from the speaker part, meaning they don't care and disrespect food delivery drivers by not verifying that they still have the order or not at the speaker part of the drive through. When the first staff lady was giving me perfect English conversation, she said to me after she can't find my uber eats order, " sorry it's not here... "Me no speak English". Like really? She did not just say that to me on my thoughts of her really saying that to me. Then since I was still there for 20 more seconds, the manager lady that's white heavy set told me they don't have the order, (no apology or anything), I told her that they gave the order to some last driver and that they did not verify the order, this manager deliberately said to me, "we always verify all orders" I said to her no you didn't on this order, you have to make sure they accept it in their app to actually verify pickup in the drivers app, then she said, "it's not our fault it's the drivers fault" then closed the drive through window. I then called Uber eats support about all of this so the staff and manager can be reported correct fully from their actions on wanting to waste my time from the speaker to the window just to tell me they don't have my order. Uber eats support told me they do have the order which is verified, but this McDonald's tries to do the blame game on technology as usual. Uber eats support said they might not pick up but I'll try calling them, and of course they won't even pick up the phone. This is by far the worst McDonald's drive through in all of America, that will always disrespect food delivery drivers. ATTENTION TO ALL FOOD DELIVERY DRIVERS, make sure to block this McDonald's from a SUPERVISOR from Uber eats, doordash won't help much I think, dealing with blocking...
Read moreWe were visiting Columbus for the day and stopped in to this restaurant for lunch. Upon looking at the menu, we decided to order off the Value Meal menu and the cashier proceeded to process that order after explaining what the Daily Double (double burger with lettuce) Meal was. I told her that I wanted that meal and she walked away to talk to another female employee who then approached the counter, very rudely, to state that the Daily Double was NOT a meal but that I could purchase the items separately to create a meal! Why the hell would I do that when the menu shows it as a meal? She proceeds to tell me that it's NOT a meal though I and the cashier point it out to her on the menu as a Daily Double meal with small fries and small drink. This person continues, still being very rude, with "the way you can tell it's not a meal is because it doesn't show the calories!" WTH does THAT have to do with anything? I don't care about the caloric intake, I just wanted the meal. She refused to honor my request for two meals that did not exist!! I walked away because I was the customer and should have been treated as being "right" by her honoring my request based on what the menu shows. How many customers before me encountered the same situation? I was standing away from the counter and obviously still upset and she proceeds to ask me "are you going to order anything? I just don't want to stand here wasting my time if you're not!" I responded "if you're not going to give me what I asked for then no", and waved her on to go do something else! I have NEVER been treated in such an unprofessional manner at a McDonald's restaurant. What she SHOULD have done was allowed me to order the Daily Double meals because it is clearly listed on the menu as such but what she DID instead was lose a sale! I have many years in the customer service field and her actions were neither professional nor respectful. I did not ask her name but she should be trained in the area of "the customer CAN be right." If the Daily Double is NOT a meal, then get some tape or a black marker and remove it--there,...
