Dined in for a quick lunch on a Friday. Had the Gyro sandwhich with some fries and the pistacio latte. First off the seasoning of the meat and fries are delicious, especially the gyro meat. The sandwhich had great mouth feel, was a good size, and the veggies on it were crisp and fresh. The pistacio latte is really good but I didnt get that much pistacio in it. Im not sure if more would be better though or overpower the rest- so Ill leave it as its very good and the regular size was more then enough for me. Complementry tea was AMAZING. Apparently its their own mix and whoever mixed it deserves an award. It has an amazing aroma and the taste is a perfect level of strength witout being bitter, even before the sugar. The crew was really nice, the atmosphere is really relaxing for a downtown place though there is only so much with the space you can do down here. Whole resturant was very clean along with the bathroom and 10/10 for having a bidet toilet. Will be coming back and trying more!

What a great meal and vibe Silav was! Unassuming from the outside, we were greeted with a friendly and helpful worker who answered all of our many questions about the food and the business. The service was fantastic throughout the time we spent there. The combo platter, chicken kebab platter, stuffed grape leaves, Turkish coffee, naan, and many sauces from cool to spicy-hot were all highlights. Can't fail to mention the warm baklava with perfect flaky pastry crust and pistachio drizzle or the downright dangerous Biscoff cheesecake, either. What a fantastic meal. We didn't even get to try the all-day breakfast items, which also looked great. My 6 person group ate until we couldn't handle anything more (we were there to try as many things as we could-way more food than you'd need to fill up on a normal meal), and all for around $30 apiece, so the value was on point too. If you're in or near downtown, Silav is a must-try spot!

I'm kind of shocked to see high ratings, but maybe no one had ordered what I did? Service was fine and food arrived quickly. But this was around $40 for two plates. What I ordered - a veggie platter and a falafel platter. What I got was bizarre. The falafel was okay, albeit bland and dry, but it came with a small ramican of yoghurt, a massive pile of unseasoned rice and oily, unseasoned and sad bell peppers and onion. Vegetable platter was exactly the same, except instead of falafel... there are soggy french fries? And they added flaccid mushrooms to the unseasoned mix, and a mild cilantro ramican that was the best tasting thing there. I could not, for the life of me, choke this down. It was bland mouthfuls of unflavored starch with enough mushroom to gag you. I took it home and added some tomato gravy and it was significantly better. Maybe their meat dishes have merit but I do not recommend these dishes.

Recently dined at the newly opened Kurdish restaurant in downtown Columbus, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with beautiful decor that truly captured the essence of Kurdish culture. The owner were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home.

The menu was diverse and offered a wonderful selection of authentic Kurdish dishes. Every item we tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The kabobs were perfectly grilled, and the fresh-baked bread was a delightful accompaniment. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was reasonably priced. Even they offered us free drinks as well.

In addition to the fantastic food, the service was prompt, and the staff was knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. It’s clear that a lot of thought and passion has gone into this restaurant, and it shows in every aspect.

Best of luck, we are...

First time coming to a Kurdish restaurant. I got their special kurdi kebab platter and my friend got the falafel sandwich. The portion sizes are pretty big and definitely shareable. The kurdi kebab was so good and flavorful, it came with a cucumber sauce and naan with some veggies. I definitely recommend that. My friend loved her sandwich, they add so much in it and the tahini she loved! The service was great and at the end when we were about to leave the owner Iklos stopped us to try their special blend tea that comes with our meal. When it came out the presentation was beautiful and the way iklos was talking to us about Kurdistan shows how passionate she is about her restaurant. The service was so welcoming to us and the place was so clean and organized. I definitely will be back to try their breakfast as well as she told me the Royal is pretty popular. Thank you Silav for your great hospitality and thank you Iklos for answering all...
