Lived here for two years with recent move out date of April 2024. Loved the location, gym, views and rooftop. The apartments are lovely as well, with great space, stainless steel appliances etc. Maintenance is swift (although high turnover here).
The building MANAGEMENT however, is a very different story, with constant turnover of leasing agents, and a lack of urgency in making sure the shared building resources are operational. Ask ANY resident about the elevators, (only 2) 1 of which was down for the better part of 5 months, and was no sooner fixed before it broke again. The elevator saga throughout my stay was deeply irritating (ORDER MULTIPLE PARTS if they are on backorder). Car was also broken into in the "gated" garage that is basically open to the public as it's across the street from the Commons and used during events. All that said, I am normally not one to complain, and have a take it on the chin attitude.
However, my recent experience with moving out has been nothing short of frustrating and EXPENSIVE. For a corporation that owns multiple buildings and has no need to profit off the little guy, NO UNDERSTANDING was given when my 60-day notice wasn't received, and I was forced to pay (or stay) an entire extra month after arrangements had been made, my car shipped, and furniture sold, although they did receive the usual minimum 30-day notice. This is an oversight that could've been easily fixed, and instead I was told "for auditing purposes" it would not be redressed. Add to that, the system that collects rents has been incorrect on multiple occasions, charging for garage rental AFTER access cards have been returned, incorrectly summing prorated rents etc. Upon receiving my final move out notice, I was charged for multiple erroneous charges even though in my walkthrough the agent noted that there wouldn't be any. I didn't even have a hole in any walls! Paying for "refrigerator clean out" when it wasn't stained, was in GREAT condition, and the apartment should be cleaned ANYWAY, makes me feel like the company is looking for profit however it can.
UPDATE: I would like to note, everyone I've interacted with has been pleasant. Current property manager Melissa and on-site leasing agent Muskaan were able to assist me in closing out my account. Even though it wasn't ideal, I did...
Read moreIâve lived at 250 High for two years now and couldnât be more happy with the apartment complex, staff and location. This is my first âdowntown living experienceâ and it has exceeded my expectations. Letâs be honest, I initially moved here for the panoramic views. Each apartment here has an awesome view and the community rooftop, in my opinion, is the best in the city. Modern appliances, industrial modern design, gym on the 12th floor overlooking the Scioto River, solid build (so you donât hear your neigbors), and did I mention you can watch the concerts at the Columbus Commons Park from your own private balcony or head up to the roof? This summer I was in my apartment, by myself, watching the Notebook...ugh...I mean Top Gun, heard a familar song coming from the park so I walked out onto my balcony and realized it was Boyz II Men. Watched the rest of the concert FROM MY BALCONY. This part of town is more appealing to me than the Short North locations off High Street, so if you wreck you Bird Scooter less people will see... The evenings are much quieter yet plenty of places within walking distance to eat or grab a drink. I canât say enough about Lauren, as sheâs been amazing from the beginning. Always smiling, friendly, and eager to help. The few times a question does arise, I just give Lauren or any of the wonderful staff a call and if they donât have an answer right then, theyâll promptly respond with a quick call back or shoot me an email. In the time Iâve stayed here, never once has there been a maintenance issue, but will mention last winter I did ask to have my water filter for the refrigerator replaced, and within a few hours one of the maintenance staff showed up to change it out for a new one. I know this is a review and I should list some cons, but there really isnât any coming from me, or maybe Iâm just super low maintenance (youâre welcome). Review writing typically isnât my thing either and Iâve literally wrote maybe 3 in my life, but this place deserves it. 2 thumbs...
