I am reaching out for a few reasons. On Dec 28 I booked my table for my birthday Dec 31. It was paid in full and I was informed by the person I inquired about booking with AND on site upon arrival that a tip could be paid in cash onsite.
When we were seated in our booth, The first server we had insisted on doing a refund to my original form of payment so she could charge my husbands card even though the employees at the front desk of the club said everything was paid for and we’d just give a tip in cash, which is what we wanted to do. Although she said this was okay, she denied that we could move forward without providing another card. To avoid issues we allowed the refund to my card with a repurchase of the same amount to my husband card.
But the server Angel then went to my husband showing a whole new receipt that was $1722 instead of $1482.57, even after I explained to her what we were told about being able to pay a cash tip and not needing to put anything else on a card. When I saw her getting my husband to sign something I explained AGAIN and told her to remove the gratuity amount of $240 that she added against our wishes, and that’d we’d be paying gratuity in cash at the end of the night. She said she would and I asked to see a new receipt, and she said she would provide one at the end of the night.
During this time we were moved to two different booths, and by the time we went to the last booth, we were told that we’d have a new server, and the tab remained open. At the end of the night we tipped the server with cash as we said we would but the next day we saw that the first server Angel still charged my husband’s card with gratuity after I asked her to remove and correct the receipt.
Her name was Angel and I’m not sure of the second servers name when they moved our table, but she was tipped at the end of night. So they were tipped twice due to Angel not removing the gratuity. We feel this was done purposely because of how pushy she was upon our arrival and before the night even started, as well as her not agreeing to give us a new receipt and keeping the incorrect one.
There was a substantial difference in what I was supposed to receive for my refund on my original form of payment for Dec 31. I’m thankful it was very quick, however there is a price discrepancy.
And my husbands card should have never been charged an amount that we did not agree to. I reached out to the manager Craig who provided his contact information at the end of the night to ensure my original form of payment was refunded. However after initially bringing up the issue and him stating “I apologizes for the inconvenience. I’m heading into the office now. I’ll bring the checks up and reach out to the server. I’ll reach out as soon as I’m in office and come to a resolution” he never did. I reached out via messages and phone calls multiple times for 2 days and was ignored.
We hope this can be resolved immediately and that I am contacted by someone since Craig has disappeared and unprofessionally ended all...
Read moreIf I can give this place is zero I definitely would. Every song that was played was a song that was hit in 2012. They pick and choose who has to coat check. My friends and I went in a group of 10 to celebrate our friends birthday, out of that group they let 2 keep their coats, they said that as long as they keep them on they can go in there with them . But on my other two friends wearing a coat they force them to coat check or else they will not be able to go in . They stamp your hand three times , and the last security to check your last stamp will grab onto your wrist to check the stamp which is just extremely uncomfortable because you can see the stamp without needing to physically grab anyone. Especially when the only people who was grabbing where the women . The worst part is the lack of safety and the lack of concern for safety . My friend got pushed from some random drunk guys, mind you this is a female friend and a group of drunk men pushing her on purpose. When my other friend try to help her out he also got pushed physically down to the ground . The security was literally nowhere to be found finally when we found security they had the excuse was that they went to the bathroom, there was only two on the floor and both were in the bathroom at the same time . When the security guard hears what happened they responded to just try to have a good time as if this was not a safety issue. We were so uncomfortable at that point that we decided to leave. We explain the situation to the security that was outside because we were generally concerned for the safety of the people who were in there because the men who are intoxicating were pushing everyone are still in the club. The conversation had to get loud for us to be heard finally a security supervisor comes we explain the situation and they told us that it would take too long to check the cameras and kind of just giving the roundabout as to why they can't take action. The only time they were concerned about my friend was when there was a mention of pressing charges. By far this is the worst nightclub I have ever been to I will never be coming here again if you're trying to have a good time stay...
Read moreI want to report a negative experience we had at TAO Las Vegas on Saturday, August 9th. A friend of ours was subjected to a racist incident by a tall, dark-skinned security guard with short black hair.
Both are Black! (You’ll understand why I say this later)
We were three girls trying to enter on the guest list. Two of us, including myself, showed our IDs and had no issues. However, our other friend presented her Au Pair ID in the United States to verify her identity. This first security guard took her ID and began accusing her of “coming here and betraying her country,” refusing to speak with her or let her explain herself, and claiming she was attempting to commit a document forgery crime.
Later, another security guard came to speak with her, and with us present, he said he would send the ID to the police for being allegedly fake. Both my friend and we explained that the ID was legitimate and issued by the Au Pair program, but he insisted it had to be sent. My friend ended up crying because of the treatment by both guards.
We left briefly and returned to ask for clarification. The guard only showed us a link about fake IDs and did not comment on the authenticity, model, or feel of my friend’s ID. Eventually, they returned the ID to her but told her never to use it again or return to the club, despite previously threatening to send it to the police.
We cannot help but wonder why they ultimately returned the ID if it was supposedly illegal: • Perhaps he realized his mistake and didn’t know how to admit it. • Maybe he was protecting his colleague. • Or they simply handled the situation arbitrarily and unprofessionally.
We consider this incident to be discrimination and racism, as my friend’s ID has been verified as legitimate by the police in our province. This treatment was unfair, humiliating, and completely...
