As I was in the garden section shopping for my indoor plants pots an employee approached me and asked me if she could do a short survey I agreed while I looked for the proper soil she asked me a couple of questions and then told me that I was entered to win a $25 gift card I said OK that’s cool about two days later I received a phone call from Home Depot in Conyers trying to tell me I would receive this $25 gift card if I received a free water quality test Before I agreed I asked the employee on the phone is this a sales meeting is & somebody going to come in to my house and try to sell me something she swore up and down that nobody was going to try Sell me anything so then we set up the test for 7 PM… And that’s when the real trouble started he comes into the home and sets up his equipment including a computer and tells me that me and my mother MUST BOTH BE present for him to continue I said well she’s in the kitchen she’s hearing everything you’re saying we’re sitting right here at the bar he was reluctant to continue but he did anyways … He does the test while also trying to educate me and her on things we learned in fifth grade after two hours nearly I told him to cut to the chase and that’s when he tries to sell me a $8,000 home water quality filter system built by NASA ……like dude my whatever wasn’t even that bad … it was high in chlorine but that’s because the county treats the water so therefore it just means it’s clean. Lol things got so messy between me and him I kept telling him it was too exspensive and over the course of another 30 min he slowly cuts the price back and back …. and my mom had to tell him to we aren’t buying it and then he packs up very very quickly and gets out . Before he left though I asked him well what about my gift card he says ohh you’ll get an email about it …. I never received anything yet it’s been nearly 6 weeks …. Don’t fall for it or...
Read moreI went to Home Depot to order an over-the-range microwave. The clerk there recommended an Appliance Installer by the name of Keno. While removing my old microwave, he dropped it and broke my glass cooktop. I saw that coming which is why I offered to hold the old microwave while he removed it but he ensured he had it under control. He installed the new microwave, took away the old one, and said he'll be back with a new cooktop for me. He ordered a new cooktop and while he was in the kitchen I heard a loud BANG. Lo and behold..... the new cooktop was on the floor shattered and broken as he looked down on it. I couldn't believe it. The days to come was a mess. Trying to get him to find a new cooktop while I'm ordering takeout every day was expensive and it was upsetting... Keno even made an appointment with me and had me waiting all day for him to just not show up - no call or text for courtesy. It wasn't until I checked on him 2 hours after his appointed time that he told me he couldn't make it. He didn't apologize either.
It took about 3 WEEKS for me to get my new cooktop. When he finally installed the new cooktop, he didn't inform me that it doesn't properly fit into place with the kitchen drawer underneath. Instead, he sealed it onto my countertop and presented me with the option of removing an entire kitchen drawer or cutting the kitchen drawer in half. I'm now concerned that there may be a fire hazard with the way the cooktop's bottom half is so close to the kitchen drawer and its contents. But Keno, subcontracted by a Home Depot employee, assured me that its safe.
The only reason why I have 2 stars instead of 1 is because Keno was polite and he installed missing screws on my dishwasher. He also took it upon himself to redo the electrical wiring that was already there for the cooktop and the wall oven by adding another...
Read moreUpdate: 12/18/2023 I like coming to this store. I drive the extra mile because I get good customer service here. I was searching all day for holligen light bulbs for a bathroom fixture. This should have been my first stop. Don't know why I thought I could find it at Walmart.
The first associate I encountered was very courteous and walked me over to electrical even though it was not his department. Not only that he found Mr. Keith, who was assisting another customer at the time, shared with him my needs and told me that Mr. Keith would assist me momentarily. Mr. Keith in electrical is the man. Armed with only the old bulb with no markings or SKU number he was able to match up the bulb perfectly to what I needed effortlessly. It would have taken me forever to figure it out. So grateful for his help. The customer service today was on point. No complaints here. Thank you guys for your assistance. I really appreciate it and you. )i(
So popped in to see what plants they had on clearance. I love plants and this is the best time to get them. Saw some Palm trees on sale for $12.88, down from $21.98. Came across one that had little or no dirt and looked like something the cat dragged in. I know it's not going to make it without some TLC which is my specialty. So I asked the sales associate if I could have it for $5. He said ask the checkout clerk. When I did she told me that the plants don't belong to Home Depot and that the vendor is the only one who can mark them down. "Whey he at?" I politely asked knowing fully well he ain't in the store. Needless to say I did not get that one. If I'm going to pay the asking price I might as well get one that looks like it's going to make it through the winter. I'm just saying, I got issues. What about...
