So these are actually really..really good donuts! I was just walking by this morning and a lady noticed i was kinda looking around, maybe for a coffee, and she suggested I look in the courtyard and try a donut. Sure, why not. Much to my surprise there was a tiny little courtyard with a really interesting donut shop....that doesn't look a thing like a donut shop. The long and short of it was that i got a chocolate glazed donut with sprinkles and a cup 'a jo. Sat in the courtyard in the sun and enjoyed a really fantastic donut. So what makes a good donut? It was light, but a had a certain weight to it. But not "heavy". It was definitely not "crusty". Very fresh and slightly moist, but again, not heavy. They advertise "California's best donut".. We chose glazed donuts, an apple fritter, and a cinnamon roll. We stored our treats in the trunk of the car while we sat on the beach.
