Edit: my husband puked his pasta up in the restaurant bathroom 💀
I’ll preface this by saying that the server was very kind. Like another review said, the service was friendly but slow. It took a while to get our menus but honestly that wasn’t what bothered me. This review isn’t about the service but instead the abhorrent and awful excuse of a pasta that I had the total displeasure of putting into my mouth. This review sounds dramatic but c’mon you say you’re a pasta place so I think this review is deserved.
Me and my husband love pasta and trying new pasta places, and I’m pretty basic and enjoy a basic chicken alfredo, so I feel like that’s a bit hard to mess up.
Sadly, the chicken alfredo I got was literally the most disgusting thing I’ve ever eaten - it wasn’t just boring or bland or mediocre, the alfredo didn’t taste like alfredo sauce whatsoever - I don’t even know what to call it. The pasta itself was overcooked, mushy, and extremely bland. No amount of Parmesan cheese could save this or even mask the taste of this weird mystery sauce they call alfredo. The chicken, which was just a slab of uncut breast… was the only saving grace of this meal and it was mediocre at best. Not even the fly that’s flying around the piece of bread I have wants to be near this pasta.
Like I said in the beginning, the server was kind and tried his best to get the pasta off of our bill, but was able to only take off half after asking whoever made this abomination in the back. Whoever runs this place needs to reevaluate the way things are cooked here as well as the ingredients. I don’t understand how you could call yourself a pasta place and serve me the worst plate of pasta I have ever had -...

Read moreOther than an excellent glass of pinot noir, and a neat table for one with a view of the street, my dinner at Island Pasta was a huge disappointment. Garlic bread had an overpowering garlic taste to it. My entree, Garlic Chicken, was mediocre. The fettucine noodles were starchy and undercooked, the sauce (supposedly garlic/white wine with light cream) tasted more like thickened chicken soup and I only had a few slices of mushrooms in the entire dish. Honestly, the Lean Cuisine Chicken Fetucine is better than what I had. It wasn't nice and hot either, and I was never offered any parmesan. I had to make multiple requests for a mid-dinner glass of water, and the server never once inquired as to the quality of my food or if I needed anything else. While I was pretty well ignored, the server was quite attentive to the table of three young women next to me. Once the bill was delivered, the server completely disappeared. I finally took the bill up to the bar to pay, where I waited some more. My mention of the terrible service brought absolutely no response from the bartender and it was difficult to even get a pen that actually worked to sign the receipt. I should have stuck with my original plan and gone to Panera - I probably would have had better food and better service at about...
