If I could leave anything less than one I would. We got here to eat dinner we’ve never been and we were excited to try it out. Well we started off with asking the waitress what the specials were she said well um I’m not sure exactly. So I look at my husband and then at her and i knew it was going to be awkward from the start. We start to find it in the book and then she sees it too and she’s like oh yes the pizza and the margarita so we get that and the baby back ribs with steak. Well we ask what flavor is the margarita she says the special flavor which we try asking what kind of flavor is that we ended up getting nowhere and letting it go. Now that we ordered the margarita The waitress asked for our IDs and she has the audacity to hold my husband’s ID up to the light and then compare it to his face as if he has a fake ID only because his is not horizontal, It’s vertical . When our food comes out, my husband plate is lacking Everything. It had no flavor did and did not look well, but we havent ate all day so did he continue to eat it? Yes, he returned the steak because it was rubbery. It had no juices coming out. It looked like something that I would not even feed my dogs. My pizza came out and it was reasonable. I enjoyed it for what it was and I ordered a side of ranch when the manager came out to return us a new steak. It was more appealing to the eye, but still lacking flavor. I tried it and I spit it up on the plate. The manager offered to return the whole entire plate and to make something else, but we had already been there for an hour and a half and we’re just ready to get out of there. The manager explained to me that she took off my ranch that I had ordered. Mind you the ranch I had ordered wasn’t even a big enough cup to dip Anything In . I had to pour it on my plate. It was a six dollar charge for the ranch and she took it off. Mind you this was probably only three or four drops of ranch in a small little container and I was getting charged six dollars. She said she took that off to help because the steak was bad and then on our ticket we were charged six dollars for a new steak And instead of discounting the original item we ordered. she made it a voided sirloin so on our receipt, it says that we were charged for a sirloin, but it was voided. make that make sense if I ordered something and it was a part of my meal why would you charge me for a new sirloin and then discount it. I definitely would not recommend the manager threw in a Pazooki and I thought how could you ruin dessert but when I tell you, it had grainy sand type of stuff inside of it that just made me not even want to eat it or look at it and they can even vouch and say that we left it there on the table we took our Container of ice cream and we left. I do not recommend this place and I would not be...
Read moreMe and my wife have been wanting to try BJ's since they opened and finally took the plunge this afternoon.
First, we ordered the Lettuce Wraps appetizer and we got 4 extremely small, unassembled lettuce wraps. Eating them was an outright mess leaving food on the table and sauce on our shirts. Flavor was good though. We were left with sticky fingers from the sauce and asked for wet wipes and were told they didn't have those and gave us more napkins, which didn't remove the stickiness.
Flavor was okay on the appetizer so we had better hopes for the entree. We both ordered the Southern Fried Chicken that came with white cheddar mashed potatoes, corn and white gravy. The two pieces of chicken on each of our plates had absolutely no flavor other than grease. There was no salt or pepper used on the chicken, or any other seasoning for that matter. Meat and bland, unseasoned batter and nothing more. The potatoes were obviously powdered and had a bitter taste to them, which I found very contradictory being served at a "hand crafted" Brewhouse. The corn was frozen and had obviously been sitting for several hours because it was complete mush. The cream gravy had only a slight cream taste. We tried to use the salt and pepper shakers on the table to add some much needed flavor to the food, but both were clogged. We asked for replacements, which were both also clogged. We opened them up to find that it appeared they have been wiping the inside of the top of the shaker with a wet rag, thereby clogging every salt and pepper shaker they have. The also clogged replacements were handed to me by a manager as well.
I normally never post negative reviews on restaurants, but the food lacks even basic cooking principles. The lettuce wraps were a complete mess and minuscule for the $11 they cost. These 2 piece fried chicken plates were $12.50 each and everything on the plate lacked any flavor at all other than the bitter taste from the powdered mashed potatoes and slight cream taste from the white gravy.
We won't be returning, which is sad, because I had hoped to sample their beer selection in the future. This was an expensive lesson in bad...
Read moreCame here over 4th of July weekend 2022. No wait, didn't seem terribly busy. If any managers read this the time was between 5.30 and 5.45pm Saturday the 2nd. There was a table behind us where the folks were getting antsy with their order. I should have walked out then. We waited a bit to get our drinks. We put in a order for mozzarella sticks and waited again. They come out 15 mins later, they brought us pot stickers instead of mozzarella sticks. Those go back and we waited some more. Meanwhile we placed our order for entree's. Baked ziti, kids menu boneless wings. and chilli and salad. We got the chilli was just warm. Finally got the mozzarella sticks and they were warm also. Like they had sat around a while. We had those and waited for the ziti and boneless wings......and waited .....and waited. Got fed up, put $40 on the table to cover what we did have and left. Time was 6.40pm.
EDIT........Got a.call from a manager. I explained the situation and I know his apology was sincere. I was comped $50 to return again. I had already made it back home to Pflugerville and saved it for another day. We went into Austin and stopped at the BJs over at Arbor Walk. As soon as we stepped in the issues started. The floor was sticky and you heard / felt your shoe pull up from the floor. I asked the hostess why the floors were sticky and just got a "yeah " and that's it. We were seated and waited for about 10 mins just for our drinks. Wasn't busy at all. Drinks came out a bit later. Order was taken. I ordered the Chicken Pita tacos. Once we got our food I failed to notice that what I was brought out was the cauliflower chicken pita tacos. I took a bite and then knew I had the wrong dish since it tasted like southwest seasoning. My dish goes back and I wait for.another 15 mins. Meanwhile my family.were.almost done with theirs. We were comped for.the mistake with a free dessert. I appreciate the gift to come back but I won't return unless.someone...
