I love chipotle and I usually eat from their Monroe location. Since it was late I ordered online from here to pick up with âchipotlaneâ We showed up and waited in the drivethru behind another car, confused because we waited until ten minutes after our pickup time behind this other car with no sign of an employee. We backed out of the drive thru and I walked inside to ask whatâs going on. There were only 3 people working and several customers waiting. I notice the employee just barely pulling my âweb orderâ off of the register. I said âthat is my order, itâs supposed to be ready 15 minutes agoâ. He said âsorry weâre really behind, I can make it nowâ I said ok. Then he said he doesnât have any salad greens for my salad but he can make it anyway. I asked if that part could be refunded in some way or replaced and he said replaced and I said uh maybe fajita veggies? Out of that too. I look at their trays and thereâs basically nothing in them. They donât even have the ingredients for My or my partnerâs $30 Order. I said you know I would just rather have a refund so you donât have to worry about making it and so I can not spend $30 On a scoop of avocado with a bean on top (not in those exact words of course). He said ok but he canât refund me I have to do it on the app. I said ok?? And tried to Figure it out on the app/website, to no avail. I went back in and he said I have to call a 1-800 number. A couple of rude young college students laughed at my frustration which made it all worse. I got to talk to a robot online and they eventually just left the authorization up and said it would fall off in a couple days off my bank account. Now itâs an hour later and my husband and I have no food and no more money budgeted for tonightâs dinner. DO NOT GO HERE. Idk how easy it is but something needs to change so they donât accept orders when they are OUT of the ingredients to make your food. Seems like that would make sense??? And more people need to be working there at once so it isnât so overwhelming for the 3 people on there that weâre not very experienced hence slower at making things so much that theyâre 30 minutes - 1 hour...
Read moreI'm super disappointed in the portion sizes. You can see employees visibly measuring out ingredients and counting stuff out while serving you. Everything is basically down to one scoop now and you can tell there's an order to how things are even applied. The whole ordering experience felt corporate and weird, but again, isn't that what they are? đ
When it gets time to check out, I have to say several times we ordered chicken because throughout the order line one employee asked me "What kind of steak do you want?" None, just some chicken, man. I later make sure to verify because they kept trying to charge me otherwise. Even at the end the last employee only says chicken after I corrected him several times. We order in and there's a mess of equipment just chilling on a table randomly, girl doesn't offer us a tray at all and only mentions they have one when she sees us trying to divy out items. There are employees both sitting around or standing. The ones sitting are taking up a huge table with friends. It's not my business, but it's super distracting if they're supposed to be working. If they're on break, that's their business. It just feels like they weren't ready to formally open.
I really miss the old days of Chipotle. The food tasted fresh and I'm stoked there's another location, but until you can be given more bang for buck, $27 for 2 small bowls, 1 drink, a bag of chips, and some vinegarette is not the vibe. Also, for those wondering it was their first day open. I'm understanding about some things but I'm disappointed in the overall experience.
Just for references friends and I used to each get huge bowls or burritos, drinks, chips and guacamole for $19-23 in a single order depending on if we each ordered a drink or chips. To have to pay almost $5-10 more for much less sucks. Now, you're probably thinking, don't eat there then. And to that I say, this was my first time back in a while to my (past) favorite place to eat. I deserve to have a good time. Tired of places nickel...
Read moreI order from this location a lot since itâs closer to me than the Monroe location, and I have to say that this is one of the most difficult places to order from. Not because of the ordering process(easy to order from the app) but because it feels like I need to jump through the window and strangle the workers sometimes. They are so good at messing my order up! Trust me, my order is simple, less than 6 toppings in my burrito. So it shouldnât be rocket science, right? Well apparently it is for these guys.
I ordered a burrito through the app today and it pushed me to my breaking point, I had to eat through all of the guacamole until I finally started getting into the clump of barbacoa about half way through. Itâs so insane to me that it can be this hard, especially when itâs an online order, nobodyâs even watching and pressuring you while you make it. This is a lack of care and competence.
This isnât the only time something like this has happened, I once got an entirely different order inside the bag with MY NAME on it and had to go back and argue with a foreign worker who wasnât understanding anything I was trying to say. Another time I asked for extra pico salsa and can you guess what happened? I got none! Whoopty doo! This location really picked some winners when they started their hiring process!
If you want food from this location, walk inside and order so you can watch them make it how YOU as the...
