Corner Bakery Cafe — Restaurant in Dallas

This is not the first time that I've visited a Corner Bakery, but the service at this particular Corner Bakery is exceptional that I felt inclined to write a review. I was greeted and helped by the most friendly and welcoming staff. I believe her name is Avery. On the receipt I just see A. Warrenreshia. Regardless how busy the restaurant gets, she always held her composure and assist anyone and everyone that needs help in a quick yet genuine matter. I could tell that she is great at multi tasking because I can see her running around cleaning tables, refilling inventory, and also taking/delivering orders. Incredibly, I've never seen this Corner Bakery messy, unorganized, or out of any inventory. Many restaurants that I've gone to, especially after the lunch rush, the napkins or condiments are usually empty, but this one is always stocked. My food always taste extremely fresh and nicely packaged. I ordered the Sandwich combo to-go and I am always satisfy with the taste and presentation. For me, it's the little thing that makes a different and the person that made and prepared my food took the time to do the little things. My pickle is nice and neatly wrapped in a waxy paper to avoid contaminating other food. My soup is hot even 30 minutes after. The utensils is neatly place on top of the box for easy access. This is the second chance, and I will not return or recommend this place to anyone I know.

The first time i visited was a month ago. There were three of us and everyone's food was under par to the point where the only thing that was eaten was the potato soup I ordered. Everything else was thrown away. The pastas were dry, and the sandwiches barren. I said I would never return after such a bad first impression.

I returned today to give it a second chance.

I severely regret my decision. I ordered when there was no one in line. A dozen people who ordered after I did recieved their food before me. After patiently waiting for 20 mins I decided to check on my order. The manager said it would be out soon. I waited another 10 mins before the woman who took my order noticed I was still waiting, walked over to the shelf where my food had apparently been sitting for a long time, came back and gave me the food, apologizing because they has given me the wrong order numbers.

Despite all of that, I will review my food today: My side caesar is good, though room temperature. My pasta is Dry...again... and barren. Hardly any of the ingredients that were mentioned are present. My soup is cold.

I don't know how this happens, but I will not be back, and I will recommend everyone I know to NOT waste their time with this...

Too bad there isn't an option for ZERO stars. This location can hardly ever get the order correct. How difficult is it to get turkey on the "TURKEY Avocado Cobb?"

Placed my order through the app, walked 10 minutes to pick it up, walked 10 minutes back to my office. Opened my order, voila! No turkey! Walked 10 minutes back to the store, showed them the order, she looked at it and basically said, "what's wrong?" They took the salad, threw some turkey on it and handed it back to me. No apology, no recognition of the mistake, just their being able to make me feel like a fool for ordering from them.

So, I have returned to my desk, logged into my Corner Bakery Rewards account, deleted my credit card information and cancelled my account. Cross this off the list! To be clear, this is a constant challenge, rarely are menu items ever prepared as ordered. So I gave them my usual three strikes, now they are out. Just an FYI, if you want to delete your account they have made it very simple, just two clicks, no question as to why you are deleting, or anything. Guess lots of customers have the same experience, so they have streamlined the process!

Too many other places within the same walking distance with far better food and service.
